Having stayed at Kariappa House I can honestly say that I will certainly be back again. The staff are really very nice and helpful and Ramji was really nice and quite an interesting person. Not sure why an earlier guest did not like him. He went out of his way to help us. We met the owner Kakoli briefly. She was warm and friendly and invited us to stay back for Diwali celebration. The room was very clean and comfortable. Being a day before Diwali there were some cracker sounds but that was everywhere. Breakfast was excellent. We loved the in-house pets, Jazzy and the cats. The best feature was the pool. It was such a treat to have this lovely lap pool all to ourselves. The location is very close to the French Quarter (walking distance) but the approach is through some narrow roads which did not bother us. The Parking was very convenient. I will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Everything about this place was awesome! A special mention to Mr. Srinivas, the manager who made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. He made sure we had a memorable stay in every way possible(be it trip suggestions, to helping us with transport, to making sure we reached the bus stop safe and sound- everything was taken care of wonderfully well!) Almost forgot to mention the yummy breakfast buffet every day- great variety and taste!

Love the room with the balcony I think it’s the largest one, and it’s my 3rd time here. Very very good staff and hospitality and the food is superb. Good location too. My go to place in pondi, would not pick any other space in the city but this.

Everything . A quaint townhouse .. the staff were just out of this world . Considerate and anticipating every detail. Service at this level - and I travel every second month in India - is hard to find and at the cost , amazing value . The dinner / bfast option is highly recommended as the food was amazing also .
