It only takes about 10 minutes from the train station to reach the place. I loved my stay here. Mayumi had been really nice, and she even helped me fill up the form for the luggage forwarding company. In the morning, she left a bag of chiffon cakes for me. In addition to this, the view of the garden at the back is a plus and adds to the tranquility of the place.

Our stay at the Guesthouse Ogawaya was fantastic. The host speaks fluently English, is very kind and hospitable. We had a spacious and cosy room and everything was clean. It is the perfect accommodation before or after the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage.

Not in the touristy area, which is good, because ot was quiet and peaceful there, but at the same time it takes about 5-8 minutes to walk to the area with major hotels and the beach. Very convenient location! The room was in a separate little house with the open air roof where you can have a nice time eating your breakfast or just relaxing. Inside, it was nice and clean with all the necessary things: a kettle, a microwave, A/C, a fridge. Perfect for solo travellers like me 💙
