Where to begin... Our stay at KAMAKU was the best part of our trip... It's not just a place to stay, it's a community. Julia and Oscar are wonderful hosts, always kind and helpful. The entire staff is simply fantastic... polite, courteous, helpful. The food is fantastic and varied. The accommodation was well equipped, clean, and had a perfect view of the sea. Many thanks to the entire KAMAKU team!!! We would love to come back.

We had an amazing tent front view on the sea. It is not a luxury place, so if you are looking for the resort vibe (cell network,hotwater,pool) this is not the place for you. If you are ok with simplicity (an amazing big tent), you will love the experience because it is like being in a hidden paradise. The hosts are french and are super kind, there is a lovely common area where to gather in the evening, they have a fire place where they make BBQ and pizzas and the atmosphere is just perfect.

If you want privacy and 5 star accommodations, this is your spot. Internet can be spotty but mostly reliable, there's no TV but the beach is spotless and the staff exceptional. There are more lively spots nearby but nothing compares to your own cabana on the beach. Weather is hot year around but the evenings are nice. Food is good with reasonable prices. The pavilion that houses the reception and restaurant is a work of art.

Booked this hotel for my sister and her partner and they loved it! It’s a brand new hotel, right on the Main Street of M’Pai Bay. Super modern and well equipped, they said they had everything in they needed in the room (air-con, nice hot shower, kettle, comfortable bed,…). Staff are super lovely too 🥰

Incredible stay ❤️ I couldn’t speak more highly of this new, beautiful gem in MPay Bay. All the details of the newly-built bungalows are so well done, mosquito net, curtains on every window for privacy, the porch to sit and listen to the waves. Staying in the private bungalows meant that we had complete silence and only nature to listen to in the mornings. The common area in the front is great, spacious, books, games and cold draft beer is available, what more do you need really 😊 So happy to have met Fred, he is really welcoming and friendly. Hope to come back to Koalama soon 🤞🏼

Thanks scott and pauline !!! what a great place !!!!! highly recommend staying at on the rocks, the tipi tents were excellent !!!! best sunset views on the island.......great night time bbq !!!! great people !!!! tipis were huge could stand up in them.....fan, light, full double mattress,,,comfy pillows...great nights sleep, quiet in the nature !!!! great showers and bathrooms ...soooo clean !!!! will defoooo be back...thanks scott for a great stay !!!!!!

If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet stay right on the beach where you can wake up and fall asleep to the sound of the sea, this is the place for you! It's a simple place with all you need to enjoy the spectacular setting of sunset beach. It is a tough hike to this side of the island if you go during the middle of the day, but it was fine when we went early on the way back. It's worth it though as sunset beach is really peaceful and beautiful.

It is just on the beach on the “far end” of the bay. Sunrise just in front of it and sunset spot at 2 min walk. Perfect location to me. Free water available and board games. Common area is big with a lot of chilling spots in the shade and in the sun. The staff is very nice, they make you feel at home and they agreed to upgrade my stay with a little private room for 10$ a night. Karaoke night was fun.

Wonderful place. So chilled and it is right on the beachfront. The breakfast is amazing, and the free yoga in the morning is lovely. Free tea and coffee too. There is water sports equipment for use and the staff are super helpful for recommendations about the island. The perfect place to spend a few days in the lovely M’Pai bay!

Perfect location right on the beach! Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great, very fresh and they accept card. The room had a mosquito net and a place to lock your valuables. Beautiful view from the guest balcony. It does get warm but the fan does a pretty good job to cool you down.

A great little place right on the beach. The owners were lovely and friendly and he organised a fabulous half day boat trip for us, snorkeling, fishing, hanging out on Sunset Beach and then coming back as the sun was setting. Perfect! We also used the kayak that was available to guests. Don't miss out on the fish BBQs they have a few times a week. Yum!

Exactly what to expect from a beach bungalow: basic, clean, right on the beach, not next to the neighbors and with a mosquito net!!! Beach restaurant and bar with exclusively excellent Khmer food. Very friendly staff, like staying in a family. Amazing sunsets!!!!

Great location right on the beachfront, with bar/restaurant, swimming pool and lodgings metres from the sea. Plenty of options on the menu with a delicious breakfast buffet. Staff very friendly, especially the manager Paul who went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. They lit fireworks and put special decorations on the beach as we stayed during Christmas.
