We loved our stay here and the family was super kind! They offered us different fruits from their garden and breakfast was so extensive and delicious (the best we’ve had during our 3,5 week stay here in Sri Lanka). The room is very new, clean and spacious. A little bit of steep driveway for our tuktuk, but the owner helped us. The direct neighbours were also all very kind.

Really amazing and cosy place, especially the hosts were very lovely and welcoming. The apartment was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. We ended up having breakfast and dinner there everyday because it was so delicious!

Tucked away off the main road, this property is a true oasis. The friendliness and the attentiveness of the staff was second to none making every moment at Sama retreats memorable. Local food served was sensational with the chef kindly explaining the origins of each dish. The rooms are peaceful and tranquil, and while all the mod cons are available it does feel like you are stepping into another world. The beach is quiet and on most occasions the only others you will find are the local fisherman that are happy to offer a smile and a chat. We can’t wait to return.

The accommodation is clean, the hosts are very attentive and there are lots of birds singing in the garden. It's a balm for the soul. The pool is great because the sea is further and there are very big waves. The shop, where you can find almost everything, is about 50 m inland

The room was very clean with all the required facilities. The care taker was very good. The owner was very helpful. He arranged the transportation for us. The area is remote one. If you want to experience the rural vibe while staying in a good room, go for it.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and very well maintained. The pool is amazing — we didn’t want to leave! The staff are friendly, attentive, and pleasant. We felt very comfortable asking for things, and they were always happy to help. We used their service for a foot massage and a back massage — both were professional and excellent. A staff member took him to nearby markets, a wood-carving workshop, and a nice restaurant. Breakfast was generous and delicious.
