Clean, beachfront,cozy

Amazing location right on the beach, really enjoyed the hot tub taking in the view. Very clean with everything we needed, lots of thoughtful touches. Loved the torches for our Kiwi walk in the evening, wonderful activity and so special we got to see them! Great communication with the host, would definitely stay again and recommend. Thanks again for a great stay!

We love the Duke of Marlborough, amazing spot right on the water in Russell, love that you can have a dip in the sea as soon as you walk out the front door and can then order food and drink from the outdoor tables right on the beach. The history being incorporated into the asthetic of the hotel is great and makes the rooms interesting as well making it a great place to dine. It's like going back in time. Food is excellent and we really appreciated the live music outside most evenings.

Beautiful location, close to beach, shops and restaurants. Exceptional sunsets. Can't wait to go back!

An amazing location on the beachfront, friendly staff and very clean and quiet.

Fabulous refurbished classic hotel, right on the beach. Although our room was small it was well appointed. Old world charm with a bar area and restaurant having comfortable chesterfield lounges, fireplaces and dining room with full tablecloths. Great artwork adorning the walls. Tables on the deck overlook the bay have excellent clear screens and heaters if required. Enjoyed all out meals and the attentive service of the staff. If you choose the small rooms they are tight but the lounges and outdoor areas certainly compensate.

The location was ideal right on the beach, we had 2 queen beds and with the pull out couch it worked very well for a family of 5. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Just what we were looking for.
