We had the perfect little lodge house right on the beach of lake Taupo. Great to see the sunset and be in a tranquil spot. The property was very clean and comfortable and had everything you could need. Bron the host was very welcoming and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot for the night.

The Reef Resort Motel offers self-contained accommodation on the edge of the Lake Taupo. The property features an outdoor heated freshwater pool and a thermal pool with a hot tub.

A luxurious yet cozy stay offering spectacular views of Lake Taupo! This is the perfect place to unwind with your loved ones. The deck overlooking the pristine blue waters of the Lake is such a treat to your eyes. They have a hot tub, kayaks and a bbq setup for recreation. There are 4 similar units with 2 units situated at the Lake front, and 2 at the rear side, where the common car park is. It’s a fairly new property, the lower units are accessible by a ramp and a few steps, other than the path from the parking to the unit, everything was perfect. They have a well equipped, fully functional kitchen with all the necessary utensils, a nice and spacious bathroom with a washer and dryer. Two comfortable bedrooms with the first one having 3 single beds, 2 below and one at the loft and the second bedroom offering a spectacular view of the Lake. We were very fortunate to witness the Aurora Australia at the doorstep. It was a truly memorable stay here and would love to come again in the future!

Amazing place! You have all the facilities, a full kitchen, the design is modern and comfortable and the outdoor space is absolutely beautiful straight on the lake. The tv is a smart tv with netflix. Beautiful, big walk in shower and there is a washing machine in the bathroom. The terrace is shared between 2 units with some plant pots in between but you have your own table and chairs for yourself. The jacuzzi is at the front of the property so not with lake views. Regardless of that it is one of the best places we ever stayed and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Tui Oaks Motel offers free Wi-Fi and is just 5 minutes’ walk from Taupo town centre. All accommodation includes satellite TV, and most have panoramic Lake Taupo views.

This is a fabulous place and the price was a bargain especially given that we were given a free upgrade with a fantastic view of the harbour. The receptionist was friendly and wonderful! This was the best place we have stayed by far given the price, the location, and the view in our seven-week trip of Oceania.

This is such a lovely place to stay. Our cabin was clean, fresh and welcoming. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Homemade biscuits were such a nice touch in our room. We had a view of the lake, and it was walking distance to town where there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here.
