We stayed at the Dhow Boutique Hotel for just one night, but it left a lasting impression. Despite moving to another place for the next two days, we kept coming back to the Dhow for coffee, lunch, and drinks, it quickly became our favorite spot. The hospitality from the owner and staff is truly unmatched; we felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. The views are breathtaking, and the hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the turtle aquarium. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, definitely worth mentioning! The design of the hotel is also incredibly charming. Both the interior and exterior are beautifully crafted, with many wooden elements made by local carpenters using wood from traditional dhows (boats), giving the place a unique and authentic feel. As a bonus, guests have free access to the pool at the sister property, African Bungalows, which was a lovely perk. If I could give more than 10 points, I absolutely would.

Beautiful villas on a stunning beach. The staff were all incredibly friendly and the food was excellent! Chef Kailash went out of his way to make the dining experience memorable. Simba the cat was really cute and friendly. We will miss him. Definitely recommended staying here.

Raphy's house is the best place in Nungwi. I spent 2 weeks feeling at home. The room is phenomenal, it has fans, the bathroom is wonderful, the kitchen, the refrigerator, it has a washing machine and a living room upstairs with sofas and hammocks that is a delight. The house was beautiful and clean! The house manager Issac was very helpful and personable. He arranged all of our shuttle needs and answered any questions we had. All of the staff and housekeeping were very nice and we felt safe at all times. The pool was very refreshing, and there are rooftop views where you can watch the sunset! I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very nice and cosy, right next to the beach. The rooms are clean and cleaned daily, you get water bottles and a change of towels and bedsheets daily. The staff is amazing, friendly and always helpful. They helped me organise a surprise for my friend and provided a delicious cake and sang her "happy birthday". Furthermore the owner of the hotel gifted us a bottle of champagne, to top up the celebration. I recommend it to everyone wanting to enjoy an amazing stay in Nungwi! ❤️

Stayed in 3 hotels in Zanzibar and this was by far the best; the location was perfect, loved how busy the vicinity was. The rooms were so clean and white, the weekend events were amazing, the FOOD WAS MY BEST PART!! In the other hotels we ate out alot but here we couldn’t afford to miss a meal; loved the variety of the buffet, the kitchen staff were also my favorite.
