The Seiler au Lac enjoys a peaceful location at the bank of Lake Brienz, with steamers and free buses to Interlaken stopping right in front of it. It offers free WiFi in the entire property and free parking. The view from the balcony overlooking Lake Brienz is absolutely breathtaking. I genuinely don’t think there’s a place on Earth that could match it, or even come close. It left me speechless. Words fall short, and my vocabulary isn’t enough to give it justice. With that view, the cleanliness and design of the room made it feel like a dream. Every piece of furniture was exactly where it should be; more than comfortable, perfectly placed, and spotless. I still can’t believe I had the privilege of spending four nights there. The bus stop is immediately in front of the hotel, which made everything super convenient. The hotel also has two excellent restaurants and is located right in the middle of all the places I wanted to visit. The staff went above and beyond, warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. The kayak school was right next door, and the breakfast… the cheeses alone deserve a whole review of their own. The whole experience cannot be described in a short review. When I return to Switzerland and Interlaken, I will absolutely stay here again. Every second I spent in that room, with that view and atmosphere, felt surreal; like a dream, with a balcony in heaven. Everything was beyond perfect.

The Hotel Seeburg enjoys a quiet location on the shore of Lake Brienz, right a the steamboat landing stage. It offers panoramic views of Lake Brienz and the mountains of the Jungfrau region from all rooms. WiFi is available free of charge and you can park your car for free on site. Where do I begin? The location is amazing. I didn't know the view could get better than I experienced coming in via the train, but it gets way better. The hotel is quaint, quiet, luxurious, and not overcrowded. We didn't have to rush anywhere to get a great spot to sit by the water. The room is lovely - highly recommend going for a balcony (especially nice on cool nights to open the window/doors). Rooms were cleaned daily - we didn't expect this since in the US hotels have abstained from daily cleaning even after returning to mostly normal activities post COVID. There was a towel warmer and individual covers on the bed. Each morning I indulged in a delicious breakfast. Lots of great choices. They offer a short lunch/dinner menu for when you need a bite to eat and don't feel like climbing up the hill to a restaurant or bus stop. The staff (there were two primary people and additional staff that were more behind the scenes) was wonderful. They are a big reason why I hope to come back and stay in the same place for a longer duration. Every need was tended to, quickly and kindly. Helpful hints: 1. To get up to the bus stop, climb the stairs behind the building and take the path to the left and follow it to the arch under the bridge. Keep straight to the main road. Plenty of little spots to get up to the primary road. 2. If you have a lot, large, or heavy luggage, consider taking a taxi from the train station to the hotel (I imagine most people are arriving by train at Interlaken Ost). Our trip cost us approx. €25.

A few steps from Lake Brienz. The apartment was nice and cosy. The hosts are really friendly and was a nice gesture to leave some useful stuff already in the kitchen to use (coffee, oil etc). This was really helpful as the supermarket was closed by the time we arrived. This property is closer to the Brienz West station, so stop over there instead of the main station, and you can walk to the apt in 2-3 minutes.

Boasting mountain views, Sam & Cindy Mühlemann offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 18 km from Giessbachfälle. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The studio was very close to Lake Brienz, with beautiful views of the area. It was very clean and nicely decorated, with new appliances and a spacious bathroom. Our host was very gracious and helpful, driving us to the train station on our checkout date when it was raining. She also gave us excellent suggestions on areas to visit - something very useful as it was the first time we visited Switzerland. We will definitely stay there again if a future opportunity arises.
