The hotel sits bang on the shore of Lake Brienz, so the mountains and Lake make for a fascinating vista. The room was very comfortable. Bönigen is a lovely suburb itself and great for taking short walks around - it's just a half-hour walk to Wilderswill from where we took a train to Lauterbrunnen. It's also a short bus ride to Interlaken, with the bus stop being right next to the hotel. The local taxis were quick to respond to calls when we needed them during our trips in and out of Interlaken OST, as it was raining both times and we had a bit of luggage. The Italian food in the in-house restaurant is amazing.

The ship station is directly in front of the hotel. Public transportation to reach any destination is easy by train and bus that are 10-minutes walk. Be prepared for the steep steps in the first few minutes on the path.The room was cosy and clean with comfortable bed, each day we started the day watching the lake and beautiful environment from our window. Quacks of the ducks woke us up. The breakfast contained several options and had very good quality. We loved the familial atmosphere mainly thanks for Peter and Shiva who were extremely kind and helpful. We felt like members of their family. We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and can recommend this place warm-heartedly. We return here for sure when we visit this area next time.

It was very clean and nicely decorated, with new appliances and a spacious bathroom. Our host was very gracious and helpful, driving us to the train station on our checkout date when it was raining. She also gave us excellent suggestions on areas to visit - something very useful as it was the first time we visited Switzerland. We will definitely stay there again if a future opportunity arises.
