The entire resort is extremely well managed, maintained and is staffed with very professional employees. The beach hut is spacious, well laid out and steps away from the Wai reef. My son and I swam with turtles, stingrays, cuttlefish and thousands of other fish! We enjoyed getting to know Siti and Hana. They served our delicious meals everyday. They are friendly and cheerful, will know your name from the start. When I booked this resort, the owner/manager was responsive right away and throughout. The resident manager Restu is excellent also. I have food allergies and they accommodated me without issues. Restu coordinated our pick up from a different homestay an hour away and our drop off back to Sorong after our stay. The transportation was punctual and professional. If you love sunsets, sunrises and the night sky - you will get your fill here. They are seen very well from the main dock.

But I don't know if I will succeed, because, without a doubt, it was the most beautiful place where we have been in our entire life so far, as experienced travelers!What I felt when I arrived here cannot be described in words - I can try to say that I found Paradise on Earth!A small island, four bungalows, two on the beach, two on the water, dream views, the music of the ocean and the orchestra of jungle birds, underwater creatures of all shapes and colors right under the bungalows, a rich, fresh, young, clean reef, toilets and private shower, perfectly balanced food, fresh, unrepeatable, tasty, electric cleaner all the time provided by solar panels, wi-fi, and above all a team of wonderful people!The owner, Mr. Andy, loves this place and it shows in every thing he touches, in all the stories he tells you (if you ask him!). An extremely pleasant company, the silent partner of the team! The soul and heart of this place is Moana=Vayana, as I called it the first moment I saw it! She is Miss Esny, as I call her or Mantaray;s Queen (no one feels them and finds how she does it). She is a total joy from morning to night, a man who loves nature, who is ready to go in an adventure, whether it's the same or a new one, never forget to enjoy it, to protect you, to guide you, to help you know, to see, to feel the ocean and its wonders!We won a truly unique experience, a friendship for life, with a lot of admiration, respect, the desire for good and to return! There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. We totally loved our stay at Tabari. The location is extraordinary on a remote island, and the attention to detail is clear as soon as you arrive on the jetty. Brigitte and Jeff are the most fantastic hosts, making sure all the guests feel at home. Their team is really lovely, attentive and have good positive energy. The bungalows are really well maintained, and so are all the facilities. The food is fantastic, there are delicious French crêpes or omelettes in the morning, fresh fruits on the table at all times, local fresh fish every day, freshly home baked cakes for dessert… Brigitte is always here to ask everyone if they need anything and it has been a joy and a privilege getting to know them as well as all the other guests. I had a severe ear infection and Brigitte went the extra mile organising my medication to be picked and delivered from Sorong when it wasn’t available anywhere else around Waisai. The excursions are also really well organised. We spend months doing research looking for this kind of owner-run place, and we were so happy to discover this gem :) we feel so lucky that we were able to stay here given this place is usually fully booked well in advance. The houses are set right on a stunning, quiet white-sand beach, close to a charming village with happy children and friendly people all around. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, serving excellent home-cooked Indonesian meals, even fresh-caught fish grilled over a BBQ for lunch, and delicious cakes at coffee time. The coral reef just in front of the houses is vibrant and full of marine life, and the beach is always kept spotless. The entire family helps run the homestay, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy captivating live music played on handmade instruments and take part in thoughtfully organized day trips for birdwatching, waterfall hikes, and more—all with pristine rainforest just steps from their doorstep.

Paparisa is a brand new, small, private and secluded homestay with the nicest houses in Kri Island by far (compared to all the other homestays). The place has five "resort level" cosy houses with ensuite semi-open air bathroom (rare in Raja Ampat), big nice comfortable beds with mosquito net, a small private terrace in each house to relax or to watch the sunset and a small restaurant to enjoy your meals (they are building a nice sunset view big restaurant which they said will be ready by September 2025). They provide towels, toilet paper and linen so no need to bring yours. They have some toiletries but better bring some extra shampoo and shower gel for your convenience. Electricity is available almost half of the day and it is more than enough to charge anything in your room! The sea is just three meters from your door so you can easily swim whenever you want. This is also very convenient for diving or excursion's pickups as the boats pick you up straight from your door to go for diving or for a trip! Also, in walking distance you can snorkel in very amazing home reefs on your own. Paparisa rents for a small amount of money snorkeling equipment and these guys can also arrange several snorkeling trips to anywhere in the area. They also have contacts around so don't hesitate to ask them for anything you need! The communication before arrival through WhatsApp was exceptional and they have helped us a lot with our planning (the boat from Waisai to Kri arranged by them and a lot more). The food in the place is very tasty and feels like home and they are willing to cater any special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan etc).

Luky, our host, was absolutely wonderful, he took us on so many activities and was an excellent guide, always making sure we had the best experience. His whole family was incredibly kind and welcoming. The homestay itself was beautifully decorated with care, and they even prepared a mattress on the balcony so we could relax facing the stunning view. We were warmly welcomed with fresh coconuts upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful touch. The meals were varied and absolutely delicious every day, and everything was clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. We truly had a magical time and felt at home. I can’t recommend their kindness, hospitality, and the comfort of this homestay enough!

The holiday home offers a Cantonese restaurant. Very nice! The family is super kind and they show you every animal there is, I even saw a giant coconut crab!!!
