The hotel is opposite the bus and train station, just 1 minute away, perfect location. Matsumoto is a small city you can walk everywhere. There are 7 eleven and restaurants 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The room was a little old fashionable, but clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Lovely, characterful old hotel in perfect location for sightseeing and eating in Matsumoto. Just minutes walk from the castle. Staff were friendly and helpful, great breakfast, nice onsen.

Key selling point is the perfect location especially if you are taking the bus next day. Free breakfast is the other plus point. Staff members were helpful. Of all the 5 hotels I stayed in, only this one had the luggage sent to my room.

Perfect location for sightseeing. An easy walk to the castle and to stroll around the older streets.
