Yamanakako
Guest House Zen is a beachfront property situated in Yamanakako, 18 km from Fuji-Q Highland and 21 km from Lake Kawaguchi. The 1-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. 3-5minute walk to the bus stop (we caught the bus from Mt Fuji station). The rooms were sparkling clean, tatami mats were comfier than our previous hotel beds, the kitchen was great for cooking a home cooked meal with full utensils available. The free bikes were a highlights for us! We used them for a full day and got to visit local food spots (Yamanaka Terrace was our favourite cafe), bike up a hill to a short 20minute view spot of Mt Fuji, and around Lake Yamanaka. The owner was super hospitable and helpful. We hope to come back and visit again one day 😊 thank you!

Staying at Hostel Saruya was such a pleasure . We stayed in the twin room and it exceeded our expectations. The fit out is so beautifully detailed, earthy tones which complemented the mountain view. The private access to the roof top was also a gorgeous and a great view of Fuji - wonderful to watch the sunrise and sunset. We would love to stay again one day.

First time experiencing glamping. It is a great experience for nature lovers. The view of Mount Fuji was beautiful. The sunrise the sunset was spectacular. Beds are comfortable, all the basic amenities are available. Great location. Less than 1 mins from the station. Very convenient.

Definitely recommend lake Shoji and this hotel, a lot less crowded than other touristic spots around Mt Fuji. Amazing views on the mountain, great and spacious bedrooms that allow for insanely beautiful vistas in the morning, at sunset etc... Everything was perfect from checkin to checkout! Great staff, nice onsen, art gallery, free massage chairs and a fantastic view of Lake Shoji and Mt Fuji. Right across the street from the beach.

The owners were very kind and helpfull, they let us go on the terrace to shot photos on Fujisan at sunset. A nice meal at dinner. Private onsen included with large bathtube.

Charming hostel with cozy common places, great kitchen and the Fuji-san view from the balcony! Clean rooms, all necessary kitchen tools and city bikes to rent. It was great to ride across the lake (the rental is cheaper than near the lake beach). Friendly and helpful owners! Best hostel ever)

Very convenient location, several minutes’ walk to Hirano Beach. The host is extremely friendly, help us to plan the route to Kamakura and reserve the taxi. Have free cafe in the canteen, also provide breakfast for a fee. Also have two cute cats :)
