Very friendly and welcoming staff, walking distance to Nilaveli beach (700 m), clean and spacious rooms with high ceiling, wonderful food.

Loved how everything was clean, especially rooms which are cleaned twice a day. Amazing staff by the pool, moment they see you looking around confused somebody comes. Food and drinks are amazing as well and honestly not that expensive if you disregard price of your stay. Had amazing surprise where they made us cake for my wifes birthday free of charge

Ursprünglich planten wir nur einen Aufenthalt von 4 Tagen, da es aber hier so schön und gastfreundschaftlich war verlängerten wir unseren Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer und Bad waren sehr sauber. Die Gastgeberin war unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war fantastisch, wir hatten das Cococnut Roti. Preislich hat alles gestimmt. Falls jemand einen Aufenthalt in Nilaveli plant kann ich es nur empfehlen.

Lovely calm place! Jeya has been a great host. I really enjoyed my little chats with him. The restaurant offers great meals. His staff members, especially Justin, were super attentive and took good care of us. The garden is huge and well looked after.

Located just a 3‑minute stroll from the serene Nilaveli Beach, this cozy B&B is in a perfect spot for easy beach days and exploring nearby attractions like Pigeon Island National Park and the Kanniya Hot Springs . Our room was spacious – with a private bathroom, balcony overlooking the garden, crisp AC, reliable Wi‑Fi, and great comfort overall . It quickly became our peaceful little haven after a day in the sun. But what truly set this place apart was the warmth of the hosts—Suman, Mallika, and their family. They greeted us even during our early arrival, having our room already prepared . Mallika’s home‑cooked Sri Lankan breakfast on the terrace was a daily treat—delicious, generous, and served with heartfelt kindness . The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming—complete with friendly cats, chickens wandering through the garden, and a homely ambience that truly made us feel “at home” . They went above and beyond by helping arrange tuk‑tuks, and transfers, you name it—with helpful, local insider knowledge . In short: Location: 2–3 minute walk to the beach, with easy access to local attractions Accommodation: Clean, comfortable rooms with AC, private bathroom, balcony/garden view Hosts: Exceptionally friendly, considerate, and accommodating Extras: Tasty breakfasts, reliable Wi‑Fi, bike/tuk‑tuk tours, laundry, on‑site parking We wholeheartedly recommend Suman Beach Rooms if you're after a genuine, comfortable, and caring place to stay in Nilaveli. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this place. Although the pictures are very accurate, I felt that everything was better in person. Each unit is pretty private and has a nice ground level terrace, perfect for relaxing. The room was really clean and the overall environment tranquil. We also felt safe here, as there is someone always on guard and also cleaning the property. In addition, I enjoyed the beach setup with beds and cushions with covers! The welcome smoothie still goes down as one of the best that I had during my holiday. The hotel can help organize transport for various needs.
