After a week of disappointing hotels in the Zanzibar archipelago we found a place that made us feel we were getting good quality for our money. The place is comfortable, beautifully situated, clean. The staff, especially Jennifer and Kasib, made us feel we were looked after at all time. If you go to Pemba, and you should, you need to be here!

The location is peaceful. The owner is present daily and happy to assist with coordinating excursions, answering questions & just generally engaging with the guests. The prices for the excursions were very fair and it was great to be able to split them with other guests. Every meal was excellent. Breakfast was included & the $10US charge for the communal dinner was a fantastic bargain… the property is just steps away from where the fisherman come in each day so it couldn’t get any fresher

Nature at its very best. The lodges were very simple and perfect for the location. We were supremely well looked after by Adam and his team. The food was all local, fresh and beautifully cooked. Pemba Lodge really is one of a kind if you are looking for a simple, natural getaway. A truly amazing place!
