Our stay at Bujtina Malaj was fantastic. It was a very cozy place, perfectly located to start our hike from Valbona to Theth the next day. Situated in a very picturesque mountainous area, the landscapes were beautiful. Although this guesthouse doesn't have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, there is another guesthouse nearby, just a 10-minute walk away. The breakfast included in our stay was delicious! The owner was very friendly and made us feel at home. He provided us with great support and directions for our route, and even prepared a sandwich for our excursion. Without a doubt, we recommend this place 100%!

The hotel is perfect . Amazing location with two rivers one besides the hotel and you can hear the sound; the other main river is 200 miteres from the hotel .     Great location- set a bit back from the main road, so nice and quiet and no sound of traffic. Amazing views. Room was super clean and larger than anticipated. Hosts were warm, welcoming and extremely helpful - they assisted with booking transport to the Valbone Pass trailhead and with a packed lunch for the hike. Generous meal servings!

The hosts all very friendly and helpful with breakfast provided, after which they drove us to the start point of the hike to Theth.     On our 16 day roadtrip in Albania this was the best stay. The small and cosy hotel, run by the friendly and helpful Mir, is a special hide away with the best views of the Valbona Valley. Quiet and clean, with a very comfortabel bed, hot shower and excellent breakfast. All of it made it hard for us to leave again after 4 days. Highly recommended!

    Great location with option to dine in the garden with superb views of the surrounding mountains. Delicious home cooked meals with most ingredients coming from the own, attached farm - dinner is a set menu. Its 3km outside town, thus much more quiet, allowing to relax after your hikes while enjoying the scenery. Hosts are super friendly and helpful.
