Just a wonderfull place to stay! Absolutely recommend, very big room, with kitchen, comfy beds, amazing host, perfect communication even the lady there did not speak english but her daughter translated everything. We loved our stay there and would definitly come again.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! I was truly impressed by what has been created in such a small village and by the effort to develop and promote the area. This guest house is located in a non -residential area, in the wild, on the shore of a mountain river. Singing birds, calm, pure air and harmony make you rethink your entire life and open this world for yourself in a new way! Literally the best place I've ever stayed at! Absolutely amazing. The hosts were incredibly kind and generous and even went out of their way to find gluten free food for our friend. The rooms were gorgeous, spacious and the little touches like robes and hotel toiletries were very much appreciated. The breakfast was incredible. The guest house looked exactly as the photos did! 100/10 - cannot recommend enough!! Thanks for an amazing stay!

Located about 3km from Alaverdi town center (a 40-minute walk), Iris Guesthouse is accessible by marshrutka from Tbilisi - just ask the driver to drop you at the guesthouse to save some walking distance. I arrived at 11pm, and was immediately touched by Armenian hospitality - fellow passengers kindly contacted the host and helped translate to arrange my pickup. What a warm welcome to Armenia! Though I'd booked a dorm bed, the host upgraded me to a private room with bathroom since I was the only guest. The room was spotless and even had a charming little balcony. The meals were another highlight! Both dinner and breakfast were generous, featuring homemade jam that was to die for. The dolma was honestly the best I've ever tasted - I still dream about it! Such memorable hospitality - I truly hope to return someday.

The garden is a peaceful heaven. All of the hotel staff was adorable. A bunch of cute cats going around. The room was clean and comfortable. Location is nice, calm, near the mountains. The breakfast was generous and tasty homemade marmalade. Nearby, you'll find one of the best coffee/pastry in Vanadzor, Shamam's macaron. A must try. Overall it's a perfect ratio price-quality! Will come back!
