What a lovely place to stay! The bedroom was spacious and had a gorgeous view over the garden, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was beautifully decorated and laid out. We even had the pleasure of watching two swallows come and go from their nest under the eaves above the window. The cooked breakfast was delicious (my husband LOVED the fried bread!) and we had the best blackcurrent compote I've ever eaten. The farm is well positioned for both Hexham and the Rose & Crown pub in Slaley for good meals, and there is plenty of room for parking. Loved the extra touches on the table out on the landing, such as plates and glasses and a shelf or two of books - very thoughtful and convenient. Thank you, Elizabeth, for making our visit so pleasant - we would certainly return if we come to the area again!

The owners were friendly and their hospitality was fantastic. The breakfast options were lovely as you had the choice of many breakfast options including a full English, eggs Benedict, vegetarian or baps (which were great as we had an early start so could take them away). Plus coffees juices etc. The inn is a historic building and we loved the atmosphere and feel, it felt very homely. Acomb is a beautiful little town and we enjoyed walking the surrounding streets admiring the historic buildings. Very close to the AD122 bus route for exploring Hadrians wall. A £7 taxi ride from the Hexham train station.

What initially drew me to book the hotel was their candour regarding parking in Hexham. They acknowledged the problem and after the long drive i undertook all was resolved to my satisfaction. You can deposit luggage with them and go to main car park which is only about 3/4 mins walk away. From then on, my stay just got better and better. If i could, i would give them 11 o/o 10, they are that good.

We stayed one night we had an evening meal that was excellent. The breakfast was also amazing.. The room was comfortable and cozy. We had a great sleep on a very comfortable bed. It's a grand old hotel like going back in time. We will be back.

A lovely place to stay when visiting Hadrian's Wall and the nearby Roman forts with excellent, comfortable rooms. Loved the kitchen, washing machine, and dryer, and other useful things like bug spray and waterproofing. Brian was super knowledgeable and helpful which made it all the better.
