From the moment I booked, communication was excellent! It was easy to get to, safe parking, great location-close to public transport into Oxford. As soon as we met Peronel (host) we felt very welcomed and comfortable in her guesthouse. She went above and beyond to look after us during our stay. Afternoon tea in the garden and our continental breakfast was delicious!

the room was attractive, warm and comfortable. we had everything we needed. there were shops and restaurants 5 minutes walk away in summer town. the frequent bus for Oxford was just round the corner - 1 minute away. in spite of this the location was quiet especially at night. off road parking is a bonus. we were made very welcome. this room was exactly what we wanted and more than we expected.

The warm greeting by the manager made me immediately feel at home although I arrived after his off hours and he stayed to greet me. We started a conversation that was quite amusing and highly entertaining. And I must say that meeting him was the highlight of my stay at Newton House. I hope you are fortunate enough to share a cup of pressed coffee and baked goods although it is not automatically included. Just a warm-hearted gesture from my lovey host. And yes, the bed was most comfortable and the room quite cozy! It was either a nice walk to town which I did on several occasions or the bus stop is right in front. It was a fantastic choice for my stay in Oxford. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Absolutely lovely little hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff. Charming room (we had a family room) with comfy beds. Hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, in walking distance to nice restaurants, colleges and city centre. Convenient free parking in the hotel courtyard. English breakfast was good, in an attached glass pavilion. Very lovely garden with tables and umbrellas that can be used for breakfast. We happily return, if our son is accepted to Oxford.

We really enjoyed our stay in Oxford at this delightful B&B, the host was charming and helpful and serves an excellent breakfast. The accommodation is a short bus journey into the city centre.

Excellent breakfast. Beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect, close to all attractions we wished to visit, but in a quiet residential street. A charming house, with lovely decor. The host was most helpful, accommodating our family in adjoining rooms, storing baggage and organising a taxi on departure.
