we had a great time at the homestay. the host is very friendly and helpful. We rented bicycles and saw a lot of life on Majuli. thanks for the hospitality. We also made a delicious meal on the fire pit.

If you are travelling to Majuli, Risong guest houses hands down the best place to stay. It is near the city centre, where you can access, rickshaws, cafes, rental shops. yet the location is quite and cosy. Manjeet is such a warm host, he will make sure you make the best of this trip by his vaste knowledge of the area.

Jioty and Munna are super welcoming hosts, available, informative, curious with the desire to share and very informative. Dinners are great! In addition, the location is super lovely and quiet while next to the centre of the village.

Amazing value for money for private room. Long chair outside of room to lie down and relax. Ceiling fan inside room to keep cool. Location central, five minute walk to main market area.

the rooms are nice and simple and all have a great area for sitting outside. Monjit is a really great host who will make sure you see all the sights on the island and he is really knowledgeable about the culture and history of the island. I would definitely recommend staying at the guest house!

Very charming bamboo rooms. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and there's a small sit-out outside. Surprisingly cheap. Food was good in their restaurant. They can provide bicycle/scooter on request as well as guided tours. Very friendly host.
