This was the perfect place to rest from the bike tour. The host is super friendly and kind and will inform you about everything! The room that we were in was so cozy and I felt a home-kinda-vibe right when walking in. Super comfortable and the host really makes sure that you get everything that you could possibly need. Also, the location is awesome :)

One of the most beautiful guesthouses I've stayed at in all Japan. The view from the cafe/bar and the rooms is incredible. It's an old building that has obviously been restored with a lot of love and care. And the guys running it are really kind and helpful people.

We chose to stay here in advance of doing the Shimanami Kaido cycle from Onomichi, in order to get to Mukaishima, you will need to exit Onomichi station, cross over the footbridge and go onto the ferry which costs 100 yen per person. I would recommend calling ahead while you are waiting for the ferry to allow time for pickup. Yuji, Junko and Akana were extremely welcoming hosts providing door to door service and a lovely home cooked breakfast with actual proper bread!! for only 500 yen per person. For 2 people you have your own bedroom and living room. Well worth staying here especially if you want a more personal experience.

The host could not have been friendlier, showed us around the house gave us tips on where to go and where to eat. The property was spotless and the location is a dream. The host has excellent English which makes everything so much easier. I wholeheartedly recommend this location for a holiday. We will certainly be going back if we are in the region again.
