The futon bed was so comfortable, the room was easily heated despite the cold weather, the facilities were clean and the design of the entire place is beautiful. Appreciated the well-equipped kitchen space - there’s plenty of room to cook a full meal in there and relax. The staff are very friendly too and gave great recommendations and always said hi, even when the downstairs bar was really busy! Only stopped here briefly but I’d comfortably stay a whole week or more in this beautiful guesthouse!

I absolutely loved Surf Inn G-Sun the perfect end to a wonderful working holiday in Nippon :-) The owner was very helpful and we talked and laughed and was also driven to Wakayama castle for a half day trip before being personally dropped of at the train station

Miss Hiroko was very accommodating and helpful. She offered to take me to the train when I checked out. The hostel was very clean (rooms, shower room, toilet, hallway) and the kitchen amenities were complete. It's recommended for those who value cleanliness and peacefulness just like the owner. Best for solo travellers and couples. Walking distance to the delicious ramen (Maruta-ya Ramen) which was recommended by the owner. Family mart is beside and bus stops are near. There's also free bicycle, I used it to go to Wakayama Castle.. Just 5minutes I guess. She even let me leave my baggage in the hostel after I checked out since I was still going around Wakayama city. Very very understanding and kind.

This is the best Hostel ever!!! I felt like I just came home. We had a room for four with two bunk beds table with PC and sofa. Really like you would have at home:-) The hosts are great, they help us a lot with info about area, where to go and what to see. It's that kind of people you can count on, when you travel and you are far from home. Hostel is very nice, clean and has for showers, toilets, even washmachine and the dryer. In the kitchen is tea coffee so yop can make yourself comfortable. Really I didnt expect hostel to be like this. If I ever come back to Wakayama I would stay with them. Thanx a lot Hiroko and Kazu.

Incredibly welcoming. A gorgeous family run business. Very clean and well thought out. The room was quiet when I stayed, it would be nice to see them get the business they deserve!

The place was clean, quiet and well-located. The hosts did a good job when it comes to decoration and everything was labeled in English, it was really helpful. Hiroko and Kazu are very thoughtful, a little welcoming note was placed next to the door and she even offered me a ride to go back to the station for me to avoid having to carry my backpack on the way. Definitely recommend this cute hidden hostel.
