We stayed here for a couple of nights because we wanted to climb the Adam's Peak and well, the Water Side Residence was the perfect choice for us - it's located near the entrance of the hiking trail for the Adam's Peak (like 5-10 minutes walk or less). The hosts were lovely, ready to share tips/suggestions for the hike, as well as ready to answer any questions we might have (not only related to the Adam's Peak). There's a cafeteria upstairs, at the entrance, and you must try the food there - everything was so delicious, from the noodles to the omelets and all the fresh fruit juices! Our room was a wooden cabin a few floors downstairs from the cafeteria. It was so peaceful there! Beds were comfortable, there was hot water for the shower, plenty of power plugs, and there were mosquito nets at the entrance (so we could keep the windows open during night to cool the air in the cabin). Would definitely recommend this place if you plan to climb the Adam's Peak :)

Lovely homestay located very close to Adams peak. The hosts are super helpful and will work around your schedule to produce delicious food - I think one of the tastiest rice and curries we have had in Sri Lanka!! The place is gorgeous and we had the upper room which had balconies on both sides to get all views!

Perfect location to climb Adam’s peak. Dinner was good and packed lunch too (delivered at our bedroom door in the evening to bring to Adam’s peak hike). Friendly staff members and clean room with high water pressure in the shower.

Everything was perfect. The rooms are perfectly clean, food was absolutely amazing, the owners/ staff were all so kind and attentive to any questions I had. I had a great stay at the peak residence, everyone was very kind and helpful, it is a great location and perfect as it is a 24/7 restaurant the sweet and savoury pastries are delicious and perfect snack for the hike. Everything was just amazing! The next time I come to Sri Lanka this will be one of my first places to visit again😊 thank you 😊🙏

Maximum satisfaction with accommodation. Very nice owners who try to accommodate in everything. They lent us their motorbike for a trip, helped us with train tickets and we had a delicious dinner from them. The rooms were lovely clean and we really enjoyed the strong flow of hot water. I can only recommend.

    Very nice Host and great location. Wi-Fi worked perfectly and you can have nice hot shower. It’s the best place to start your journey to Shri Pada (Adams peak). Absolutely great food and service there. Very nice family which looked after us. This was definitely the best accommodation in Sri Lanka so far. Highly recommend 😊

    Very basic place but a great location right at the start of Adams peak. And very cheap price. Okay for one night. Mosquito nets are provided and you get bread dhal and jam for breakfast which is included in the price. They have WiFi but no one knows the password for it.

    A wonderful accommodation with a great location. The accommodation is very high quality and above all clean. Our room was very large and the beds were cosy. We were well looked after and the food in the accommodation was very tasty. Nimal is a great host and a warm person. The trail to Adams Peak is very close by.

    The family running this Homestay is very nice and supportive. They give advice for your Adam’s peak hike and can arrange good tuk tuk drivers to and from Hatton. The location is good and quiet, near to the starting point of the hike. It’s really cheap and includes a good breakfast. They provide a good dinner as well.

    Very great location and quiet. Breakfast is really good, rooms are really cute and clean. The owner is amazing, he gives you a lot of good advice and took care of me when got really sick. I extend my stay because I really felt good at this place.
