The man running the hotel is very nice, the food is good (and a lot) and the hotel is in a very nice location. From the inside the hotel looks a bit older, but that's fair for the price you pay.

Fabulous stay, staff were very accommodating, beautiful villa with nice open spaces. Good view, and quiet neighborhood. A short walk to the main golf club as well if you need to grab a bite or play golf.

You cannot go to Sri Lanka and not stay in Rangala House - it is a MUST visit! The property is hidden away in the Knuckles Range and really offers a get away of the best kind. Immersed in beautiful Sri Lankan countryside, I could have stayed here forever. The staff were exceptional and we were incredibly well looked-after for the duration of our visit. They went above and beyond to made sure we were comfortable, that we had everything we needed and I can't thank them enough for their hospitality. The food was also incredible and some of the best we ate while in Sri Lanka. It is prepared in front of you over the course of the day and both lunch and dinner were a real feast. What a beautiful place to come and unwind, relax and bask in the very best of what Sri Lanka has to offer.

Best place we stayed in Sri Lanka. such a peaceful place surrounded by nature. we enjoyed the colorful birds, the beautiful lake, the kind staff, the AMAZING food, and monkeys playing in the trees. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has great view. we did yoga twice with the sweetest teacher Christina, and she was fantastic - even though we were beginners she managed to make us proud of every little improvement and to make us thankful for our bodies every step of the way.

We were so glad to find this place! A lot of room, a lot of comfort, and perfect hosts. The first night we decided to stay in for diner, and it was so good that the next two night, we ate there as well. Akka is a very good cook, Raj a very polite and helpful host. We had all we wanted and enjoyed it a lot. We had our driver take us to Kandy, because truth to be set, it is a bit away from the city. But because we wanted a bit of rest after the hushhush and rush in the traffic of Kandy, we were really glad to have our own villa, our privacy, and a warm welcome. We could do our laundry and had enough room to dry everything. Our best stay in Sri Lanka!

Had dinner at Kandy Calm Residence, and it was a fantastic experience. A proper home-cooked Sri Lankan meal with warm hospitality. The place is cozy and inviting, and the hosts incredibly welcoming. They took the time to explain each dish, where the ingredients come from, and how everything is made. You can tell they truly care about what they do. The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and made with care. Every dish had the perfect balance of spices and home-style cooking, making the meal unforgettable. What made the dinner even more special was the personal touch, with thoughtful presentation and warm conversations with the hosts. It was more than just a meal; it was a true taste of Sri Lankan hospitality. The accomodation is spacious, well appointed, clean and well presented. If you're looking for stay and authentic, home-cooked meal in a peaceful and welcoming setting, I highly recommend a stay at Kandy Calm Residence.

Rajiva was an excelllent host and guid. We spent here magnificent three days. The surrounding tea plantations and mountains have amazing views. The area is very authentic without many tourists, but with friendly local people, beautiful nature and lot of wild birds. The accommodation is very comfortable, beds as well. The balcony view is the best, we loved good breakfast with this view. The owner arranged for us transport to the next destination. Once again, thanks a lot Rajiva.
