It was truly a unique experience. The overall cleanliness. Friendly hospitality from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, modern amenities in the room and bathroom. (Netflix, Prime Video, wide-screen smart TV with high-speed Wi-Fi connection) The dinner we had was the best dinner we have ever had in Sri Lanka for such a reasonable price. Extreamly clean, comfortable and quiet place. A very spacious room. Owner and family couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful and went out of their way on a number of occasions to assist us and other guests during our stay. The owners son also spoke with us at length about the history of the house, the town and Sri Lanka, he was very knowledgeable. Well located with restaurants close by and a lovely walk to Lovers Leap waterfall. Great value for money and a good breakfast to start the day. Definitely highly recommended

Very nice and cozy lodge, I would call it a boutique hotel by european standards. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast. 10/10 would recommend ! Nice interior, cozy bed, clean room. Good value for money. Next time will definetely come back and try The Cabana !

We stayed just one night at Carnation Rest in Nuwara Eliya and it was a truly wonderful experience. The property, surrounded by beautiful, well-kept plants, feels like a mountain chalet: unique and charming for its atmosphere. Since this is a cooler area of Sri Lanka, the property offers all the comforts to best enjoy the lower temperatures. We were welcomed with excellent tea and biscuits, and the morning breakfast was absolutely delicious. The staff, very kind, also recommended a restaurant that turned out to be an excellent choice. A wonderful place, with a unique and evocative atmosphere, that is definitely worth experiencing.

Compared to other accomodations in the area this one was rather cheap. The owners were very friendly and helped us organize some trips. The dinner and breakfast was really good! The room was clean and looked nice. It‘s a quiet area and there is a nice view from the terrace. We enjoyed being away from the city - but it‘s only a 20min walk down there.
