Taprobana Transit is an excellent option for anyone looking for a stay close to the airport. The host is very kind and the place is spotlessly clean with ample space. We were there only for a few hours to get some sleep between our flights but it was well worth it.

Full recommendation! I would go there again! Extremely clean and new place. The owner is very very helpful and nice and supporting. He gave us a lift to the airport at 6am, to be sure we are on time. Kitchen equipped and available to the guests. Aircon and lots of useful facilities. Big common space.

i used this homestay for one day for the Airport transit stay and it is very close to Colombo International Airport. Room was very clean. The room has a AC and TV, Attached newly done bathroom. The room size very big. The owner is a very nice person. They cooked very nice and tasty dinner for me. Breakfast was very nice included in the price. This is a perfect stay for a couple days. Owner is offering a free transport to Airport either pick up or drop off.

It‘s a really nice and clean room. Also the owner is so nice and helpful. The breakfast was so delicious as well! It’s close to the Airport, so for us it was so great staying here for our first day in Sri Lanka!

I think the hospitality was what we truly valued staying at this hotel. The relaxing and accommodating environment was something I hold in high regard for this space. Arriving late at night and being told “don’t worry about the payment, we can sort it tomorrow - get some rest” really spoke volume to me. They care about their guests and will help you when they can. Being treated to an afternoon cup of tea and cake before we left was a treat and of course was free. For me, hospitality goes a long way 😊 and I thank the owners and staff here for making us feel at home.

    In the middle of nowhere which is a plus, on the beach, calm and private. Great Wifi which is not a norm. Stuff doesn’t speak English but does their best and does all possible to be helpful.

    Driftwood villa offers a beautiful and clean space, high quality rooms and bedding. The staff is very kind and helpful. Steps away from the ocean in a quiet environment yet very close to the airport and Colombo. Look forward to returning some day soon :)

    We wanted somewhere a little out of the way and this was it. We used local buses, tuk tuks, trains and we walked a lot. Staff were charming.

    Very good communication with the owner, short time to answer. Was there to welcome us in the middle of the night after arriving in Sri Lanka Airport. Very delicious breakfast, served exactly at the time we would like to have it. The big surplus of this property is the pool and the area around the pool. The rooms are good for one or two nights but not to large but clean. Also welcome the cat :-), it's a good place to settle in after arriving in Sri Lanka or for the last night before flying home, the way to Negombo by Tuck Tuck cheap.
