We enjoyed our stay in Merdeka Guesthouse very much and actually extended it two times. The host is incredibly friendly and gave lots of helpful recommendations as well as a snack sometimes, the room nicely equipped and clean. Definitely recommend!

The owner and his wife are local and really helpful with sorting out whatever you need. We ended up renting his van last minute to do a trip down to the Annah Rais longhouse and hot springs. The private room was comfortable and the place has a lot of character. It's right by a bunch of great restaurants, including, one of my favorite - Rice King.

- Excellent wifi - Perfect location (7 Eleven across the street for water etc) - Free breakfast - Hot water - AC - Free luggage storage while I stayed at Bako for 2 days. - Extremely helpful suggestions tips about free buses/tours etc. KD was one of the best hosts I've ever had at a hostel. She went above and beyond what I expected from a host. On the day of my booking, she Whatsapped me with a warm welcome, as well as a PDF of about 13 pages full of info about Kuching, free transport, which days to go to places in order to get the best deals, etc. On Christmas, she invited me to join her for a Christmas event that she was invited to. She was also very flexible with me extending my stay on short notice. Overall, Quiikcat was everything I could ever want from a hostel. It was so conveniently located, the rooms were nice and cool, and KD made it an absolute pleasure to be there. Thanks so much, and I'll see you next time!

The Logde is located in a old Chinese house just in the Centre of Kuching in the main Bazar road on the waterfront. Very easy to reach a lot of places do the position and nearby many travel agency for organize tour around Kuching or in Sarawak like Niah Cave or Gunung Mulu National Park. The Lady at the reception give a lot of information where I can taste the real local food. Thanks once again

This guest house is in a great location close to the waterfront. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. He provided many suggestions for activities and transportation. He even picked us up from the airport, as he was nearby. We were able to leave luggage on the day of our checkout before our late flight. Good AC, consistently hot water, great restaurant downstairs. Would happily stay here again.

I stayed here for over 2 months and cannot express enough how perfect my stay has been. Zak thinks of everything before you even realise you need it yourself.
