Most lovely owners, gave us a free upgrade with great hospitality. Booked dinner at Lauder Hotel which is just across the road. Watched the All Blacks match there. Early Spring, chilly night, the fireplace was going so we stayed nice and cosy in the lounge and in our room. Highly recommended as an overnight spot while doing the Central Rail Trail.

The rooms were lovely, and the beds sooo comfortable. Lovely hosts. Lots of guest space where we could find a nook to read quietly, or sit together to drink beer and play cards. We had dinner provided - excellent, and wolfed down by three tired cyclists. Breakfast, continental style, was also very good.

    A quaint mud brick house which we were lucky to have to ourselves (normally the facilities are shared). We enjoyed being able to light the log fire and the lovely breakfast tray delivered by the host.

    great location on the Rail Trail, great setting and beautiful garden fireplace and very comfy beds breakfast yummie and enough to keep us going to the next stop 23km away

    location is great ,quiet we did have to share which we weren't aware of but it did state this in the agreement. Accommodation is very quaint and beds were very comfortable.

    Kevin was a very kind host - the property is quaint and comfortable with lovely modern bathroom. I would love to return and have dinner there as the menu on the blackboard looked very interesting.
