From the moment I arrived, Sanqian made me feel genuinely welcome—not like a guest, but like someone coming home. She is attentive without being intrusive, thoughtful in every detail, and always ready to help with a kind smile. Whether it was offering local tips, helping with transportation, or simply checking in to make sure everything was perfect, her dedication shines through in everything she does. The inn itself is beautiful—peaceful, clean, and full of traditional charm, perfectly located near the south gate of Lijiang Old Town. It’s a quiet retreat from the crowds while still being close to everything. The rooms are comfortable, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. What truly sets this place apart, however, is Sanqian’s personal touch. Her passion for hospitality transforms a great stay into a memorable one. You can feel how much heart she puts into the inn, and it shows in every corner of the property and every interaction with guests. If you’re looking for a place in Lijiang that offers not just comfort and location, but genuine human warmth, Xilu Xiaoxie Inn is the place—and Sanqian is the reason. The service is extremely thoughtful—the front desk actively helped with luggage and recommended local delicacies. The room service is responsive, hygiene details are top-notch, the bathroom is odor-free, and even the corners are dust-free. Such a comfortable stay!

Enjoyed the shower water pressure and temperature. Hospitable, friendly hosts and delicious dinner. Thank you for helping for make transport arrangements from Lijiang as well as to Shangrila. Highly recommend!

J'ai eu le privilège de séjourner quatre nuits dans ce merveilleux établissement parfaitement situé et très bien tenu par sa sympathique propriétaire. Elle était très attentive à mes besoins et m'a grandement aidée à avoir la meilleure expérience possible durant mon séjour. Ses recommandations et son aide ont fait toute la différence pour mon voyage! La chambre était très confortable et propre. Jolie salle de bain toute rénovée. Literie de qualité. Balcon avec elle vue. We were supposed to stay one night, but the host was so amazing that we decided to stay two more nights. The accommodation is perfect — clean and modern — it’s the best value for money I’ve found in China! I’ll definitely be back!

The traditional decor of the room while still providing modern creature comforts. Although it is near main walking street, the location is quiet enough for a good night's rest. Nice courtyard view of surrounding mountains. Host greeted us enthusiastically with lots of tea. In house coffee is nice too!
