We loved staying in Smile Jungle Hostel, from the first minute to the last. Gonzalo is an amazing host and this was our favourite accommodation in Central America. You feel right at home because everything you could possibly need is available and Gonzalo is always so warm and positive. Bonus points for su madre and for showing us our first sloth! 😊 Gracias por todo!

Located within a few steps of Negra and 25 km of Jaguar Rescue Center, Casa Caribbean Coconut provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Cahuita. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a year-round outdoor pool. The accommodation is in a very quiet and pleasant area, but still close to everything. It’s easy to reach, and the ocean is just a short walk away. The room was very clean and well-equipped with everything I needed. The host was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

All units feature a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen. We had a lovely time at Siquirres Mountain Lodge. Inge and her family were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property and grounds are beautiful. It’s a few miles out of Siquirres but easy to get to by car, and only 10 mins away from the starting point for our white water rafting trip (with Exploradores - which we would also highly recommend! 😄). There is a nice local restaurant less than 5 mins walk down the road, where we ate on both nights. We also took Inge’s horses out for a guided ride which was a lovely experience with beautiful views over the hills to Turialba. All in all a wonderful couple of days - and we would recommend very highly. Thank you! 😄

A recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Tortuguero, near Tortuguero Beach, Cabinas Tortuguero Sports Fishing features free WiFi, a private beach area and a garden. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. We loved everything about our stay. Primo and his wife were so kind and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious. The location was perfect for us since we wanted some peace and quiet whilst still being able to access the national park by boat.

From the moment you arrive at reception, you can feel the attention to detail - the interior design is not only stylish, but also full of character and perfectly in tune with the friendly atmosphere of the region. The location is ideal for enjoying the beauty of the surroundings and the hosts, an incredibly nice and friendly couple with their dog Luna, make your stay something very special. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after. Whether it's restaurant recommendations or help with organizing activities - nothing is left to be desired here. This little paradise offers perfect hospitality, style and comfort - highly recommended for anyone visiting Puerto Viejo!

At the bed and breakfast, all units are fitted with bed linen and towels. The owners are incredibly nice and share recommendations for the activities and restaurants, the breakfast is heavenly!!! The rooms are elegant, large and comfortable, the garden is a paradise. The best accommodation!

At the inn, the rooms have a patio with a river view. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, rooms at Cabañas Daneysha also feature a mountain view. All rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a wardrobe. The hosts are very nice. It is located from a 10-minute boat ride to the center of Tortugero, but they are also arranging the transfers thereto. We went to a morning boat tour with the host in Tortugero National Park and it was the best experience - he is very knowledgable, and have very good eyes to spot even the smallest animals.

We loved the closeness to town and the bakery, as well as the discount at the bakery. It was a very cozy spot and the bedrooms were great and very comfortable.

Sightseeing tours are available within a reachable distance. Kids pool is also available at the bed and breakfast, while guests can also relax in the garden. We loved the location because it was quiet at night, only a 10 minute walk into town, and we felt very safe walking even at night. The parking area is enclosed so the car was secure. Nadia was a really wonderful host - very kind, gracious and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. The room had its own mini-refrigerator plus we had access to a full outdoor kitchen, well-stocked with cooking supplies. We just loved lounging on our private balcony and at the shaded pool. The best part was that Black Bamboo provided free unlimited filtered water to drink and morning coffee. After traveling through Costa Rica and seeing how expensive things are (including water), we really appreciated being able to fill our water bottles there. Overall, this was a terrific experience and we'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
