Set in the heart of the jungle, in a lovely small Gold Mining village this beautiful guest house is a fantastic place to stay. Great welcome, the most comfortable bed, shower and space of our trip so far. A lovely fresh breakfast, great self catering facilities (but Frederica is a chef and will cook your dinner). Watching the jungle birds from their deck was a true joy. They went out of their way to book us a guide for a day exploring the jungle - a shout out to Jose who was a brilliant tour guide to the jungle. He grew up in the village, was fantastically knowledgeable about animals, history and Costa Rican life. Speaking excellent English. He is also a great artist - get him to show you the furniture he makes. Dos Brazos is also worth a mention such a lovely little village, the residents there welcomed guests so warmly, everyone we met had a smile and hola. Try the homemade ice creams advertised from small house! Perfect treat after a hot walk. La Casita means little house, but this is a little house with a big heart thanks to Dario and Frederica’s love and attention to detail. Excellent, attentive host; the place is a heaven for nature lovers - located near the Corcovado NP with park trails nearby. The property is well-maintained, clean, the gardens are amazing and full of birds. We stayed in a two-bedroom cabin: the bedroom with queen bed is air-conditioned, the second bedroom is not, but it was not too hot (end of December). Wifi works everywhere. Fully-equipped kitchen. Amazing value for money!

All units in the guest house are fitted with a coffee machine. At the guest house, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. We stayed two nights at the location and it was very pleasent. The room was simple and clean. We slept well with AC and used the kitchen for cooking. It had everything we needed. The porch is cosy and we saw two Aras in the garden and plenty of other birds. We also did a two day tour with Kerley to la Sirena. It was an exceptional experience in the national park. He is a great guy and a very good gide.
