Located in the heart of Cairngorms there is plenty to do as well (we went for hiking, but just as easily we could have visited Balmoral castle for instance, or we could just have relaxed in the beautiful countryside), and Ballater has plenty of good options for dinner. We found our hosts extremely helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as they could. Louise's cooking is reason enough in itself to stay at this place, but truly the whole experience was just wonderful. Highly recommended!

And she even messaged to warn about weather the next day. Also - it’s so convenient to get to Slains Castle from here. And the breakfast set up was so detailed and well done.

The location was fantastic, just a minute from the golf course. We were very well taken care of and it was a lovely and peaceful place to stay.
