Within walking distance of Edinburgh city centre, and there’s also a bus stop nearby if you prefer not to walk. Parking is available, but spaces are limited, so it’s a good idea to reserve in advance. The staff were lovely and welcoming. One small note: rooms on the higher floors might be a challenge for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues, as the stairs are quite steep.

We really enjoyed getting homemade breakfast every morning, including the special Scottish porridge. The house is beautiful, room was spacious and very clean. Location was excellent as well - the old town is about 10min walk away, so is Stockbridge and Dean's Village is even closer. Overall wonderful stay, we would highly recommend this B&B to everyone.

We loved everything about Coach House. The owner Dannii and her husband our wonderful hosts. The room was well appointed, the bed king-size and super comfy. The walk-in shower fantastic and the breakfast was a wonderful continental breakfast. Adequate for us. In town we dined twice at the Bridge Inn. The food and drink were great and we had a great time plus we got a discount as guest of the Couch House. We visited Edinburgh from Uphall railway station to Waverly paying GBP 14 for 2 round-trip tickets. The Couch House itself and the surroundings are one of a kind.

From the moment we checked-in until check-out, everything went smoothly. We had a small, cozy, clean, comfortable room which had everything you would need. We also loved that there were many power outlets, even type-c and regular usb which makes everything so much easier. There was also a kettle, and complimentary drinks like hot chocolate, coffee, tea, liqueur and even an extra hanger for our coats behind the door. Ollie and Mirela were such great hosts, who cared that we felt very welcome. They were always open to help. Breakfast was freshly made and served, from your choices you made on the breakfast list. It was so yummy. The accomodation is perfectly located, just 2 minutes walk from the tram station. Price/performance was more than perfect for our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

There is a real homely atmosphere and connection to cultural traditions. The wonderful and helpful hosts have thought of everything a guest might need.
