The place is amazing. A centuries long abandonned building has been carefully rennovated to become a beautiful special place. Everything is done with an eye for detail. Owners are very friendly and responsive. The room is spacious with comfortable beds and bedding and a large, well laid out bathroom. The spa is beautiful and special. The communal space is cosy with tea and coffee facilities and a fridge. There is prosecco available to buy. We had the triple room, which comes with a very cute terras. The property is located in a nice old village with several good little restaurants and a good selection of shops. We truly enjoyed a special stay.

Everything!!!! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with open arms!! The hosts Gabriel and Elizabeth were amazing!!! They spoilt us with complimentary snacks and drinks when we arrived, then when the heard we were walking the Via Francigena they gave a huge breakfast and packed lunch!!! Bless them!!! Elizabeth kindly brought our washing in when it was raining and dried it for us in her drying room. Ooh and they dropped us into town to start our day.Lovely place lovely people!!!

Lovely area. Great room overlooking garden. Fantastic dinner, did not have to drive anywhere. Quiet setting. Easy to park. Very friendly hosts and we were well looked after. 10+ Highly recommend.

Marianna is a wonderful Person with a lot of Love for the old castle. The rooms are charming and the breakfast was delicious!

This property is on a hill within a farm and has a great view. We arrived a bit aftet check in hours, but we were kindly welcomed. The atmosphere and decorations are great. We had heating from the floor, excellent for cold night. The service was fantastic, professional, very attentive. We got a very big room. The breakfast was a treat, you choose from a list and then enjoy the fresh produce. Very good price for the 3 of us. Probably the best stay in our week in this region.

Wonderful B&b in the heart of the atmospheric old town Filetto. Our room was spotless and very comfortable and Sarah met us in the morning with an amazing breakfast. Really recommend breaking the walk here if you are doing the Via Francigena

Antonella and Antonio were amazing hosts, their place is incredibly idyllic, quiet and with amazing mountain views. Breakfast and particularly the dinner they served on the balcony couldn't have been better. They also provide great tips for places to see and amazing restaurants in the are. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and clean apartment in the mountains with everything you need. The host is lovely and very friendly! Breakfast was a real treat on the terrace with a panorama view of the area. It is about 40min from Cinque Terre. Perfect for what we were looking for.

You have to take this place for what it is. It is not a luxury hotel; facilities are quite simple (like a pretty chilly bathroom without heating), and there are plenty of staircases to climb. But it is an absolutely adorable medieval castle, towering over a little village up in the hills, with amazing views and fantastic staff. The location is great for a little get-away and to experience northern Tuscany. Winding roads leading up to a cute village on a hill (depending on GPS system, your map can put you on a road with lots of hair-pin curves but decent width to meet cars, or a more straight road where meeting traffic becomes a nervous challenge). The village of Fosdinovo also has a great restaurant, the Quinta Terra. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere among stone vaults. Excellent country-side food that would easily compete with many of the better restaurants in Florence. The castle is a fantastic experience in Italian history and it's great to be able to freely walk around among its many rooms and up on its impressive fortification walls - daytime or nighttime. Sitting on one of the (shared) terraces for our own little "aperitif moment" was great. Our room was of good size, with a comfortable bed and a large radiator that gave a cozy warmth to the room in chilly April nights. The bathroom was as large as the room, simple but fully adequate for our needs. No heating there, so mornings were "fresh" :-) Ambra and her colleagues in the staff are just amazing! So welcoming, helpful and friendly. From Ambra's warm greeting, support, and guidance, to one of the other ladies who, off-hours and from her own apartment, shouted instructions for us which key to use when we clearly didn't manage to get in at night! :-) They all made us feel like family. They also served a delicious, home-cooked breakfast, with yoghurt, spreads, toast, ham and cheese, and home-baked apricot pie.

In the heart of the historic town center, recently renovated and very clean. "Casa Michele" is very cozy and the host is very kind.
