Includes free access to onsen of high quality. Staff very friendly and supportive. Would love to stay there again.

It is located 46 km from Shiraha Shrine and provides luggage storage space. The guest house has family rooms. Great place to stay. Ken made us feel very comfortable. The house has all amenities and necessary things on the kitchen.

Nonagase guest house is exquisite. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The accommodation itself is incredible, a historic residence that has been very beautifully restored in the Japanese style. What made our stay truly special though was Hitomi, the manager of the guest house. Her warm, friendly welcome made us feel at home straight away. Hitomi organised luggage transfer for our next day of hiking so we didn't have to carry our big backpacks. We had the most wonderful 6 course dinner that night where Hitomi carefully explained all the local produce and the dishes being served. Thank you Hitomi, you made our stay in Chikatsuyu so very memorable, it will be one of the highlights of our Japan trip, we feel lucky to have been able to stay with you 😊 Also important to know... Nonagase guest house has a really nice beer garden out the back where you can enjoy local craft beers and produce in a very relaxed atmosphere 😊

At the bed and breakfast, each unit is equipped with bed linen and towels. I didn't expect it to be so but it was the BEST place I stayed during my 3 month trip to Japan. The owner is super friendly and helpful, same goes for the family members, I felt very welcome there, like a distant relative on vacation;) The breakfasts were delicious. The house itself is really beautiful, clean, and very close to the train station. It's very easy to get to all the Nara sightseeing spots. I cannot recommend this amazing place enough. If you hesitate - don't, you have found the best place to stay at around Nara:)
