On top you get to experience sleeping on a futon which is way more comfortable than we expected! We recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit Kyoto and would definitely come again! It was so warm and cosy, and so lovely to be able to look at a pretty garden in the middle of a busy city. The location was great too - there is so much within walking distance.

It’s 2 minutes walking from a big supermarket. Mrs Haruka is adorable, helped us with everything, we felt like if we were visiting our family, she took her time to explain to us where were the best tourist attractions and how to use the train and underground, her house is just 3 minutes walking from it. In a prime location in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto, Bed & Breakfast Tsukiya is set 1 km from Kyoto Station, 800 metres from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall and 2 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple. The 2-star bed and breakfast has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. The property is 1.1 km from TKP Garden City Kyoto, and within 1.4 km of the city centre. I loved everything about this stay and it was my favorite one of my 1 month stay in Japan! All the female staff were absolutely lovely and helpful, the breakfast was varied and wonderful every morning (I missed them for the whole rest of the trip) and the location was very central and close to the station. I was afraid of the noise because of the comments and the fact that it is a machiya but I slept really well. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was functional (and it was nice that there was another place with a mirror and sink). Thank you so much for this wonderful stay !
