Great room, great service, great food, great vibe. Traveling in rural Japan isn’t easy, but Darkhorse made our trip way better than expected. Andy and his team really put their heart into this lovely place, it has the charm of Japanese countryside but run with professional care. - The room: we stayed in the two bedroom, it was spacious and clean with brand-new heater, toilet and shower. - Food: breakfast was great, western style and Japanese style were both provided. - Facilities: amazing onsen on the 1st floor, and the lobby has a fireplace, can do bar and Japanese bbq here. - Pet-friendly: Yes! Andy and Rika’s dogs are cute! - Nearby: walking distance to a wetland and rice fields, the snow scenery is stunning. It’s also close to Lake Aoki, where many people visit the lakeside cafe. - Transportation: the hotel arranged station and ski resort pick-up. Feel free to ask if you need a private ride to other parts of Nagano, their tour service is great!

Property was clean and comfortable. Also the host was very kind and cooperative. We did late check in which was also smooth and the food was also good. Host also offered us complimentary ride to the nearest station. Also gave us apples on our way back. Overall the stay was very comfortable.

Situé à Matsumoto, l’établissement Nawate Guesthouse comprend un salon commun, une terrasse, un restaurant et un bar. I think this must be one of the best hostels/ Guesthouse I have ever stayed in. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee and tea (and leftover selfmade cookies from the cafe downstairs). I will definitely go here again!

What a wonderful place run by a wonderful family. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and comfortable. Summer Leaves is a family run place and you immediately feel welcomed by this family. Breakfast was simple but great, a good variety and freshly made (not buffet.) Location is great, quite but close to everything.

This was an amazing experience in every way possible! Also the stuff made the stay even more enjoyable! Thank you!

Situé à Nozawa Onsen, l’établissement Togoro propose des hébergements dotés d’une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite et offrant une vue sur la montagne, à 32 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Parc aux singes de... The staff were eager to help with any request of ours, a short notice late checkout during the high season only came at a slight fee and they let us store ice cream in the freezer. The daily breakfast was delicious, with homegrown rice and their own family pickled Nozawana recipe. The rooms were a warm respite from the Nozawaonsen cold. Togoro is next to an onsen which we'd recommend using as much as possible. Togoro is next to one of the bus stops on the line from Iiyama station. We couldn't recommend Togoro more and wish the family which runs it all the best in their business.

Nous y sommes allés en famille pour deux nuits et ce fût vraiment une expérience unique. Bien que ce soit une guesthouse on se sentait vraiment comme à la maison. Les hôtes ont été très accueillants, faisant beaucoup d’efforts pour utiliser les outils de traduction. Nous avons eu des échanges très intéressants et ils ont été très généreux, nous offrant même des fraises de leur jardin. Nos folles ont adoré. Les lits futons sont confortables et la cuisine très bien équipée. Nous avons adoré notre séjour, un très beau moment de notre voyage!

L’établissement Oyado Tamayura se situe à Nozawa Onsen, à 22 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Station de ski Ryuoo Ski Park. Clean, close to the lifts at the top of the hill, great private onsen, lovely owners and comfortable beds.
