I loved the noise of the nearby river: so soothing and calming at night. The owner is also very kind and always there to help and make the staying even more comfortable.

Had everything we needed. Great location in the old historic district of Aikawa, super close to the Gold Mine and Flotation Plant

It was a very lovely stay and the owners were exceptionally welcoming and kind. They did their ultimate best to make our stay comfortable. The room was big and spacious enough for our family of 6, and the onsen was just heavenly! It was a wonderful treat after a whole day of skiing or snowboarding. The location is just a 5 minute walk away from Ichuishi Maruyama Ski Resort and it was so easy to rent ski or snowboarding gear before heading up the gondola. We will definitely be back next season!

The rooms were clean and spacious. It was comfortable with airco and renovated modern bathroom. You will be welcomed by a super lovely gentle Akita dog called Sun. We participated in the morning ritual of Shingon Buddhism at the temple. The service is basically in Japanese but I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience even if you don't understand the language. They kindly explained the essence of Shingon teaching and how this temple stay was established. After the ritual, we had Buddhist breakfast together. It is located in a small community with a view of rice fields and green mountains. If you wish to stay in a unique quiet place in Sado and to get in touch with the local people, this is the perfect place to stay.

This was the second year we stayed at Jopow House 2 and we will try to book to stay again next season. staff did their best to accommodate our needs, as I had difficulty with steps post hip replacement.

As a solo traveller I couldn't have asked for a better place to base myself to enjoy the snow and Myoko. Baco Myoko has an unassuming facade hiding a relaxed, comfortable haven to kick back in after riding the surrounding mountains. Ai has great knowledge of the area when it comes to eating and good advice on mountains to ski for the current conditions. A great place to meet people if adventuring alone, private onsens, shuttles to the mountains and great breakfasts are all part of the package.I know how hard it is to sort through all the accomodation options in myoko, trust me and stay with Ai for your trip. You won't regret it

Amazing & cozy place. Very welcoming hosts. The spacious rooms are located on the 2nd floor of a very cute café run by the owners. It is well-equipped and maintained, very clean everywhere. In the morning, there was an amazing breakfast downstairs in the café. Definitely stay for breakfast, it was an absolute highlight! If you stay in Yuzawa, you should certainly visit.

The lodge is very cosy and clean, and in the most convenient location if you’re planning to ski. It is right next to Shiga Kogen Ski Resort, and there is free shuttle bus that takes you to GALA and Ishiuichi in just 10-20 mins. Mina and her mum were wonderful hosts, warm and very helpful. They really took care of us and were so hospitable ☺️ The cafe downstairs is fantastic. Highly recommend having breakfast there. It is simple yet delicious, taste of Japanese home cooking. Desserts are quite special and a must try!
