I was coming back from a music festival and wasn’t sure if there were taxis operating from Echigo Yuzawa Station so I intended to do a 75-minute walk back, and she told me she was willing to pick me up. Fortunately, there were taxis making runs at 1am so I was able to make it back safely. I immensely appreciate her gesture.

It was comfortable with airco and renovated modern bathroom. You will be welcomed by a super lovely gentle Akita dog called Sun. We participated in the morning ritual of Shingon Buddhism at the temple. The service is basically in Japanese but I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience even if you don't understand the language. They kindly explained the essence of Shingon teaching and how this temple stay was established. After the ritual, we had Buddhist breakfast together. It is located in a small community with a view of rice fields and green mountains. If you wish to stay in a unique quiet place in Sado and to get in touch with the local people, this is the perfect place to stay.

Japow House 2 on Main Street is gelegen in Myoko en biedt accommodatie met een bar en gratis WiFi, op 33 km van Zenkō-ji Tempel en 35 km van station Nagano. Er is een ontbijt beschikbaar. This was the second year we stayed at Jopow House 2 and we will try to book to stay again next season. staff did their best to accommodate our needs, as I had difficulty with steps post hip replacement.

Traditional Japanese place with big rooms (we were 4 adults and we were perfectly comfortable). Bathrooms are shared but very clean. Ai (the host) was super nice and we had a great time. The position is perfect, the place is 1 min away from the ski rental shop and 5 min from the slopes. All the bars and restaurants are less than 5 min walk. If I come back I would stay here again. I totally recommend it.

Amazing & cozy place. Very welcoming hosts. The spacious rooms are located on the 2nd floor of a very cute café run by the owners. It is well-equipped and maintained, very clean everywhere. In the morning, there was an amazing breakfast downstairs in the café. Definitely stay for breakfast, it was an absolute highlight! If you stay in Yuzawa, you should certainly visit.
