Everything was great. We were 1 short because of sickness, but we had already payed and I didn’t even think about asking for money back. But the women who greeted us insisted and talked to bookings so we could get some of the money back for the room. Even do it was the same room we used. Very good breakfast, they held a fun and educating tea ceremony. The room was nice and comfortable. And when we used their washing machine they asked if they could fold our clothes and bring it to our room so we didn’t have to wait for the laundry to be done. We have only good things to say about Inase Otsu Machiya and the staff.

Guesthouse Kinari was exceptional and we are so thankful we had the opportunity to stay at this lovely space. It also serves as a center for the community children and also persons with disabilities to gather, and spaces like this are so important for the community as everyone is able to use the space. The room we stayed in was also really comfortable and spacious, with great beds and a big toilet that comes with a bathtub! The entire facility is yours and in the morning, people from the community also gather in the facility and we even got to enjoy the loveliest breakfast of onigiri and miso soup together. The owner also provided a personal guide of places to see in the neighbourhood that was really insightful. I cannot stress how grateful we are to have been able to stay here and we are so thankful to the people who continue to work so hard at Guesthouse Kinari so that everyone can feel right at home at this space. Thank you again!

La terrasse qui donne vue sur l'extérieur du temple est agréable de par le calme régnant dans le village ! La famille gérant la chambre d'hôtes est adorable, et vous fera vivre une expérience incroyable via une initiation au rituel, à la culture et à l'histoire du temple, si ce n'est que vous vous levez tôt pour sonner la cloche. Asami parle anglais et saura vous donner d'excellents conseils sur ce qu'il y a faire aux alentours, les sources chaudes, un bar dans le village, la distillerie de saké; à noter qu'elle propose aussi un tour touristique du village et du Mont Shizugatake couvrant l'histoire et la culture des lieux, je vous recommande chaudement de le faire. Aussi au besoin, une navette vers la gare de Kinomoto est disponible sous la forme d'un tuk-tuk électrique !

Masako San was a fantastic host and the house and rice farm was like taking a step back in time. The surrounding was quite peaceful and the food that was provided was excellent. Masako San was so kind to drive us to and from the train station and the train ride from Kyoto was convenient. It is wonderful to get some good county air and get some great sleep

A serene location not far from the train station. Home owner was very helpful in accommodation and in providing area recommendations.

The location was quiet, in the middle of a residential area so it was very quiet at all times, there was a convenience store about 10mins walk away. The guesthouse was very spacious with a living room, dining room and sitting room on the main floor. There were 2 bathrooms and 2 showers and all very clean!
