It was very easy to get to by car, and I was the only guest in the entire house. The owners are so nice, and always willing to chat with you. They don't know much English so it is better if you know Japanese. However, your stay will still be a very comfortable one as they go above and beyond to meet all your expectations.

Mayuko-san is very friendly and accommodating, she cooked a small dinner for the guests when I was there and told us about traditional Japanese dance. A very lovely guest house!

The location was elite, staff were super lovely and helpful, breaky was a huge variety and delicious, everything was clean and well kept. You can snowboard straight into the accom from the main end of the slope and it’s right between chairlifts, while being close to the main gondola. We got our lift passes through the accom too at a good rate. There’s great restaurants around in walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and will be back.

It was wonderful experience to spend one night here and I definitely will visit again next time I visit Morioka.

This was my favorite stay during my trip! Surrounded by the countryside, this 280 years old house has all the charms of its age, but still reasonably modern amenities. The staff is especially friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And you can get amazing home-cooked meals too! If you want to go out of the beaten path and explore the rural side of Japan, this is absolutely the best place!

This place is incredible, a beautiful traditional Japanese house. The man who welcomed us was very kind, and the house has all the information you need. He really thought of everything! In the morning, the breakfast he prepared for us was really delicious. I’m very happy I stayed here, and if I ever come back to this area, I’ll definitely return

We spent three wonderful days in Hirosaki, a charming and authentic town that still feels untouched by mass tourism. It was refreshing to explore a place where the pace is slower and the culture feels so genuine. The absolute highlight of our stay was Guest House Chara, run by the kindest elderly couple, Fusao and Toshiko. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home—it wasn’t just a place to sleep, it truly felt like staying with family. Their house told a story, filled with warmth, history, and the little personal touches that made it feel lived-in and loved. From the amazing homemade breakfast to the delicious ramen dinners they prepared, every meal was made with care and love. The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from a supermarket and a laundromat, which made things really easy for us. This personal, welcoming experience truly made our trip special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful, off-the-beaten-path experience in Japan. ありがとうございます

Minpaku Hiraizumi, een accommodatie met een tuin en een terras, bevindt zich in Hiraizumi, op 2,3 km van tempel Chusonji, 5,5 km van tempel Takkoku Seikou-ji, en 9 km van station Ichinoseki. Fantastic location, great amenities, and lovely hosts. It was easy to find and convenient to the station and tourist sites. Breakfast was delicious.
