La maison est magnifique, les chambres très confortables, et les hôtes de très bons conseils sur les visites, onsen et restaurants des environs. Un salon et une cuisine sont partagés, et il est possible de se garer devant la maison. On espère vivement pouvoir revenir séjourner ici.

We had a wonderful time. Honestly, one of the best experiences in Japan as the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious!

Such an incredible place to stay - most people come to visit the Gassho villages on day trips but being able to do a homestay in the village itself was amazing and a truly unique experience. Our hosts were such a lovely couple, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and tell us about their lives and experiences in the village. Even though we don't know Japanese, our hosts managed to tell us about food, music and the way of life in the village. We're both vegetarian and they went out of their way to make us a delicious meal out of local produce.

My stay at Yanafu was truly delightful. The Japanese house, with its spacious 120 m², is very welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a natural and sustainable style. Bright, full of light, and featuring restored wood details, it also has a vintage HiFi stereo system that sounds absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was spacious with two individual showers, and the bedroom was perfectly quiet, equipped with a brand-new air conditioner. The host was very kind and friendly—she recommended all the wonderful places I visited nearby. Thanks to her advice, I enjoyed a fantastic restaurant just 12 minutes away on foot, where a talented chef served exquisite dishes in a minimalist setting with a table overlooking a zen garden, all at a very reasonable price. On my way back, I followed her recommendation to stop at a cocktail bar 8 minutes from the house, walking along the illuminated riverside. The place was like stepping into a movie set—the interior design was a true work of art, with more than 80 bourbons and an extensive selection of cocktails. The next morning, following her guidance again, I had breakfast in a café walking only 6 minutes, a former fisherman’s warehouse beautifully renovated. They served excellent coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—the perfect spot to start the day or work with a laptop. In summary, my stay at Yanafu was wonderful. The 120 m² house is warm and cozy, and with the host’s thoughtful recommendations, I could enjoy unique and unforgettable places within walking distance. Ideal for families, groups, and also for romantic couples, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely return often.

Perfect for families and small groups. Kyoko was amazing, she took her time to say hi to us the evening that we checked on and she also made us coffee every morning and socialized with us, giving food recommendations. On the day of our checkout it was drizzling outside and she offered to take us to the station and help us print our shinkansen tickets. It was a very lovely stay.
