Die Unterkunft Bay Dreams Beach Hotel & Surf Camp, die in Arugam Bay, 100 m von Strand Arugam Bay entfernt gelegen ist, verfügt über Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Garten, einem kostenlosen... Sehr lieber Host und wundervolles Team mit mega leckerem Frühstück, das jeden Tag eine Überraschung war. Die Zimmer sind grosszügig und dank Klimaanlage lässt es sich gut schlafen. Klare Empfehlung!

Die Unterkunft Charitha Rest, die in Ampara gelegen ist, verfügt über einen Garten, eine Gemeinschaftslounge, eine Terrasse und kostenloses WLAN. Charitha and his family were great hosts and extremely attentive to all our needs (ready to go above and beyond). The food was delicious, the room was large and clean with an air conditioning that worked almost too well, there is a seating area in the garden from which you can hear birds and witness monkeys walking along the electrical wires. The property is walking distance (30 min) from Owagiriya Natabun Viharaya (Buddhist temple ruins) and as we were on our way Charitha kindly gave us a lift, as well as to another destination later during our stay. Both the father and mother are absolute sweethearts, and are more than happy to sit down with you for a chat (I had a little well needed Sinhalese crash course). From what I can see they are building more rooms/bungalows and a restaurant in the back, but as of February 2025 it truly had that quaint local feel I look for when I travel.

Aqua Blue is right next to the beach, like 50 m away, and in a more quiet location. If you go to the main street, you can sometimes see the 'local' elephant in the marsh nearby. The place is clean, has AC and everything you need, even a hammock to chill in. Basheer is always there to help you with pretty much everything you need. The breakfast is very good and the cappuccino, one of the best in Sri Lanka. I totally recommend Aqua Blue!

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war für Arugam Bay unschlagbar. Tolle Lage, wenige Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Das Anwesen macht einen gemütlichen Eindruck mit vielen Grünpflanzen und Schatten, den man bei den Temperaturen im Ort wertschätzt. Die Eigentümerfamilie ist sehr freundlich und hat uns einen günstigen Waschservice für unsere Kleidung angeboten.

Die Unterkunft Surf Dream Villa Arugambay, die in Arugam Bay, 600 m von Strand Arugam Bay entfernt gelegen ist, verfügt über Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Garten, einem kostenlosen... Eine super Unterkunft Nähe der Strandpromenade und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Der Gastgeber ist super zuvorkommend und sehr bemüht um seine Gäste und deren Wohlbefinden. Er versucht alles damit seine Gäste glücklich und zufrieden sind:) Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren sehr lecker .

Really enjoyed my stay here, the room was basic but had everything I needed. Mosquito net worked very well and the bathroom/shower was spacious. I was greeted with a smile every time and Murshith was super friendly and really enjoyed getting to know you. He also helped arrange a surf lesson for me last minute and it was one of my favorite activities I did in Arugam Bay. Extremely close to the beach, just 1-2 minute walk and very close to restaurants and all the action at night.

Wir waren nur für eine Nacht da, aber dafür war das Hotel perfekt. Die Betten waren bequem und auch sonst hat das Zimmer unseren Ansprüchen genügt. Der Gastgeber war sehr nett, hat uns abends zu einem lokalen Restaurant gebracht und war sehr daran interessiert uns den Aufenthalt schön zu gestalten.

This place is awesome. The huts are super close to the beach, comfy and we'll equipped. The owner and all of the staff are very welcoming and regularly checking in on their guests. We even got some welcome drinks! And the food they offer was tasty as well :)
