We had an amazing stay at the Makai surf house! The room was spacious with a private bathroom, felt very clean and was nicely air conditioned. The staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful. We rented motorbikes and they gave us good guidance on what to do in the area. The location is super peaceful and away from the hustle of Ahangama, so probably best to have a motorbike (although we also walked to the beach & cafes).

Cool and beautiful rooms with fresh renovations, very nice to be inside There is a mini veranda outside each room where you can sit outside. Nearby five minutes walk to an empty and wide beach with surfing. Great hearty breakfasts with fruit! Very nice and kind people keep this hotel running Several times our hosts gave us a ride to the city center by tuk-tuk The hosts talked a lot about Sri Lankan culture, answered all our silly questions about everything about the island We love this place and these people!
