When our luggage did not arrive at the airport, he took us to some great shops to get the necessary items. He drove us everywhere. He was very available and gave us great tips en organised very nice day trips with good prices. The room was also very clean, with a delicious breakfast and amazing views. We would 100% come back to Suman when we are in Sri Lanka.

The family is a lovely couple with two adorable little daughters who brought us fresh flowers from the garden every day. The husband and wife are warm, simple, and genuine – something rare to find nowadays. Staying with them reminded us how happiness really comes from enjoying the little things. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

We stayed 2 nights on this beautiful location with beautiful people. The very nice room was situated in a little house with a nice terrace outside. So clean and looked as a totally new place. The service was brilliant. We got all the help we needed. For example for getting a transfer to the pidurangala ( at 5 0’clock in the morning) and a very good taxi driver who took us to our next location (very long drive/ the taxi driver gave us a roadtrip with visits to special places). Stay at Sashini Homestay if you want an authentic experience and a chance to meet the loveliest family. Chaminder and his family are so friendly and welcoming. The property is super centrally located - opposite major restaurants and walking distance from sigriya rock. Chaminder has a tuk tuk and can arrange trips to Pidurangala and Dambulla for great prices. His wife makes the most amazing food and I’d recommend trying her rice and curry. This was hands down the best breakfast i had in all of Sri Lanka - with different options every morning and a chance to try different delicacies. There is only 1 room available so dont hesitate to book!

Our family had the absolute pleasure of staying at Sigiri Arana in Sigiriya, and it’s safe to say we left with full hearts, happy stomachs, and unforgettable memories. From the moment we arrived, Sunanda, Samadi, and Randi made us feel like part of their family. Their warmth and hospitality turned their lovely home into a home away from home. The property itself is nestled in a peaceful, green location—comfortable, clean, and serene, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We genuinely wished we had booked a longer stay. One of the highlights was the early morning hike up Sigiriya Rock. Despite the 5am start, it was already bustling with other sunrise seekers. Sunanda kindly offered to take us, sharing interesting stories along the way. The panoramic views from the top were stunning, and the local wildlife—monkeys and birds—were all too happy to mingle with the tourists! We also visited Pidurangala Rock, just a short walk away (definitely bring shoes with good grip). And our jeep safari with Sunanda in his own vehicle was a standout experience. It was an incredible day seeing elephants up close, spotting monkeys, peacocks, and a range of wildlife. The kids absolutely loved the ride, and the thoughtful touch of snacks and drinks made it all the more enjoyable. Every morning and evening, we were treated to delicious home-cooked meals by Samadi, who is truly a fantastic cook. The variety of curries was astounding—some of the best food we had throughout Sri Lanka. We looked forward to each meal on the porch, sipping a beer, watching the wildlife, and chatting with the family about the day’s adventures and plans for the next. Sunanda is deeply knowledgeable about the local area and wildlife, and he’s always eager to share this with his guests. His passion for nature and community really enriched our experience. We left feeling incredibly grateful—not just for the amazing memories, but for the seeds from their garden, which we’ll plant at home as a reminder

Die Unterkunft Sigiri Enaya Cottage ist in Sigiriya, 1,3 km von Sigiriya-Monolith und 4,4 km von Pidurangala-Felsen entfernt gelegen und bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit kostenlosem WLAN einer... Das Gastgeberpaar war unglaublich herzlich. Die Mutter hat öeckeres Frühstück zubereitet und mit dem Vater hatten wir eine tolle Safaritour. Im Garten kann man verschiedene Tiere sehen (Pfaue, Streifenhörnchen, Affen, ...)

Die Unterkunft Hotel Hanguk Villa, die in Dambulla, 17 km von Sigiriya-Monolith entfernt gelegen ist, verfügt über Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Garten, einem kostenlosen Privatparkplatz, einer... Der Gastgeber war sehr zuvorkommend (Wir durften um 2 Uhr Nachts einchecken) und hat uns bei Fragen weitergeholfen. Ebenfalls hat er ein sehr professionellen TukTuk Fahrer organisiert!

Von der in Sigiriya gelegenen Unterkunft Sigiri Starwing Villa aus erreichen Sie innerhalb von 1,5 km Sigiriya-Monolith und innerhalb von 4,7 km Pidurangala-Felsen. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und bekamen jeden Morgen ein üppiges und sehr leckeres Frühstück auf der Terrasse vor dem Zimmer serviert. Sowohl im großen Zimmer als auch auf der Terrasse, mit Gartenblick, war es sehr gemütlich. Es gab sogar eine warme Dusche, was ja nicht selbstverständlich ist. Sie haben auch ein Tuctuc und können einen herumfahren. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
