It is so affordable, comfortable and spotlessly clean and the location is perfect with restaurants at your doorstep and a view of Sigirya rock just outside the property. But the best part of this accomodation is the host family, who do everything to make your stay perfect and with genuine care. We also did a cooking class with mum and grandma which was so interesting and many laughs and the breakfasts were the best we’ve ever had. At the end we were so sad to leave but hope to return one day to stay again as we feel like family members. I stayed in the cottage for just one night, but I really liked the place itself, the people who welcomed me, and the room I stayed in. I arrived very late, past the check-in time, but they accommodated me without any issues. The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and in the morning, I saw an iguana, a squirrel, a rabbit, and even a peacock right in front of my door. The room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and satisfying. It’s a wonderful place - I just wish I had more time to stay there!

The location is really nice as it is a bit away from the main toad (5min walk). The hosts are the nicest guys, which were ready to arrange everything we have asked for. They have arranged a safari in Kaudulla and then dropoff at the next hotel we were staying. They prepared us the most delicious curry and rice for dinner. Breakfast was also amazing, Srilankan’s pancakes and roti, fresh fruit and fresh juice. I recommend this hotel to everyone and we were sad that couldn’t stay for more nights.
