The owner was really nice, helpful, he did everything possible for us. The whole hotel was beautiful and our room? I slept like a princess. Food delicious, when we had an early trip outside, they gave us food package. Dinner was also really nice. Everything was clean, beautiful view at ocean. Definitely would go here again.

The family who own the property are incredibly kind and helpful with anything you might need while you’re in Marissa. I loved the simple designed room. They felt spacious and clean. I had to make an important video call while I was staying there and the WiFi worked perfectly. Also the rooms are sealed up so it’s pretty much impossible to get mosquitos in there unless you leave the door open.

A washing machine and a kitchen are at guests' disposal. - Nothing, everything was perfect.

This is a beautiful hostel with amazing views and great clean facilities! It’s been the nicest one I’ve stayed in thus far! So close to the beach and great local restaurants! And the walk there Is beautiful!The hosts were very kind and lovely and even helped me plan my bus route up to ella! I highly recommend and was sad to leave!

The Surf Lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love and taste. It offers amazing breakfast and a direct access to the beach. It is managed by the super kind Che who was always very attentive to help us organize a few things around the area. What we particularly loved about the hotel (apart from the amazing spacious rooms and the delicious (vegetarian) food) was that it is Che’s family home and has such a friendly and calming vibe :) it’s only a short walk to local restaurants and bars and Madiha’s main beach is also only a few minutes away. This property is a hidden oasis, you can sit in the garden and watch so many native Sri Lankan animals pass through, monkeys, squirrels, lizards, the energy is tranquil and the staff are lovely, we loved it so much we extended our stay.
