This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

The room was very comfortable, clean, well equipped and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were delightful, extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely return.

Lovely little property with a wonderful owner who was always on hand to make sure everything was ok. The outside inside bathroom was a highlight. The food she cooked was excellent and lots of it! They also organised everything for our full safari trip to Yala with a great and safe guide and organised a breakfast to go hamper for the journey which was fabulous.

A bit hard to find, behind some shops and apartments, you have to go under the building through, well, a short tunnel really. Maps is fairly accurate so just look for a gap in the building. On the other side is an old house which is the Nobel Regency which should have seemed "hemmed in" by the apartments, but it wasn't as it is set in lovely gardens with many plants. It's an old house with old furniture, retro but very comfortable. Multiple common areas both inside and outside. I had a very big room with a huge bathroom which was original to the house and dated, a bit of a time-warp really, but very clean and perfectly comfortable. Good a/c and fan. Hot water and good water pressure. Comfortable bed. I was hot and tired from my motorbike journey and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They bought me a welcome drink. After I had showered, I asked for tea and a snack, and they bought me fruit and then tea and cake on the verandah. Nothing was too much trouble. I sat and read a book and they kept checking that I was comfortable and had everything that I wanted. I did notice that one of the rooms was small because they had added an en-suite bathroom in a sort of prefabricated unit inside the room. That seemed a bit unusual. But I suppose it is perfectly functional. It is an inexpensive place to stay. Very good Sri Lankan curries and rice dinner, fruit and dessert. Breakfast was also very good. This was a perfect choice for me. I didn't explore the town as I was only on a stopover for one night, and I left early the next morning. It was very comfortable with good food and fantastic hosts.

We had a lovely stay here! The staff was absolutely welcoming and the room was very comfortable. We were greeted with a warm cup of tea, it was wonderful :) Their large garden is a great space to chill, and they also have a book exchange! Thank you :)

Die Unterkunft Hotel Serugahawatta, die in Wellawaya, 28 km von Neun Bogen-Brücke Demodara entfernt gelegen ist, verfügt über Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Garten, einem kostenlosen... Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und sauber und es gibt eine Klimaanlage. Der Besitzer plant aktuell das Hotel noch zu erweitern. Zudem ist er super freundlich und stets bemüht jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Weil wir so K.O. vom Tag waren, hat er uns spontan ein Abendessen zubereitet, welches sehr lecker war (er ist Koch). Danach hat er sich darum bemüht unser Taxi für den nächsten Tag zu ordern. Neben netten und lustigen Gesprächen gab es dann auch noch ein sehr gutes Frühstück. Wir sind froh das Hotel gefunden zu haben und kommen gerne wieder!

Die Unterkunft Kande Gedara Resort (කන්දෙ ගෙදර), die in Monaragala, 45 km von Buduruwagala Temple entfernt gelegen ist, verfügt über Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einem Garten, einem kostenlosen... Michael was so friendly welcoming us with tea, cookies, and cooked us a beautiful dinner. The location is very nice and in the middle of nature with some great hiking spots and viewpoints close by. Michael even brought us on a longer hike in the morning where we had some king coconuts along the way. What a great experience! Would definitely recommend.

Aufmerksamer Betreiber, hat uns mit guten Infos, Tee, privaten Fahrten versorgt, und auch unsere Weiterreiseund und eine Jeep Safari organisiert! Es hat sich angefühlt als wären wir Freunde oder Familienmitglieder!!!!! Wir dürfen uns auch melden wenn wir während unseres Aufenthalt in Sri Lanka Probleme haben oder Hilfe brauchen und das nicht selbst managen können!! Ein sehr gutes Gefühl!!!! DANKE! Margit und Harald
