The cottage is new and clean. It is spacious and the bathroom is so beautiful as well as the terrace. We booked the safari with them and it was very great, the driver tried to avoid people.

-Very nice and caring owner Janith who fulfills every wish. He spreads a lot of good vibes and even turned to be a friend. -The rooms are spotlessly clean. -The beds are very comfortable. -The AC works very well and is not loud (compared to many other places). -The shower is great! -The typical local breakfast is delicious and very various. -In front of the rooms is a huge forest with monkeys and other animals.

We had a fantastic stay at Hasthi Cottage! Dasun, his family, and the entire staff made us feel like part of their family with their warm hospitality and ever-smiling faces. The food was delicious, especially the chicken curry made from Dasun’s wife’s special recipe. Dasun also helped us arrange taxis at the same rates as the PickMe app, making transportation hassle-free. We booked the elephant safari through them as well and had a wonderful experience—our guide, Ishank, was incredibly humble and knowledgeable. Overall, the service here was among the best we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

A nice, new, quite and clean place surrounded by a beautiful garden. It was the best-equipped room we had in Sri Lanka. Amil and his wife are hard working and good people . They do their best and succeed in making you fell welcome and at ease. The breakfast and the other meals were good and plentiful. They organized our transfer from Sigirya with a professional driver and very nice person( Priyante). If we come back to Udawalawe we would choose again this lovely place.
