We took the steamtram and boat for a leisurely, fun and historic journey to the town - (Keep your luggage to a minimum if bringing eg store big bags at Amsterdam Centraal, Sloterdijk storage is unreliable) Families with young kids thoroughly enjoyed the fun activities along the way as did we (an older couple). In addition to wonderful walks, Enkhuisen the town has the best museum (Zuiderzee) - a living, breathing historic collection of homes and businesses dating back around a hundred years ago showing what life was like back then for the fishing community before the dike wall changed their way of life completely. A fascinating, absorbing trip through time. So much to see and do. Now, the accommodation: Absolutely wonderful, our hosts Ellen and Dirk, could not have been more helpful and kind. They did everything possible to make us feel welcome and comfortable. And the accommodation itself was an utter delight - spacious, comfortable bed, great shower, gorgeous view out over the canal and awesome breakfast choices. We would encourage everyone to come here to experience the best of the Netherlands. We would love to come again.

A recently renovated bed and breakfast located in Molkwerum, B&B Stations Koffiehuis features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The bed and breakfast features family rooms. We liked everything. Lies and Nico, the owners are very kind people, they made our stay comfortable and nice. The view is super nice, the accommodation is super! Definitely we recommend and we will stay at their place again. You can feel the real friesian people and hospitality!

This was a cute B&B with lots of character. It was located in the center of Hindeloopen and we were able to walk everywhere in town. Leon was a great host. He is very friendly and we enjoyed getting to know him. He knows everyone in town. He helped us rent bikes and also connected us with community members who assisted us in hunting down our family’s roots in Hindeloopen. Leon went above and beyond, even doing our laundry! We would love to come back with our family members.
