Drifters Inn Hanmer Springs is 2 minutes’ drive from Hanmer Springs Golf Course and Woodland Walk Recreation Reserve. Christchurch International Airport is 133 km away. Loved the open fire, room was clean and comfortable and the communal kitchen was great.

Each unit has a balcony offering mountain views, a flat-screen TV, a dining area, a well-fitted kitchenette and a private bathroom with shower, a hair dryer and free toiletries. A toaster, a fridge and kitchenware are also offered, as well as a kettle. At the guest house, units include bed linen and towels. Everything suited our requirements for accommodation whilst on the road. I would not recommend it for those without own transport though as it is a little way from shops & waterfront.

Julie is amazing host and her puppies and kitty are super friendly. The gardens you could spend all day in enjoying all the flowers, birds and bees. Close to all the great restaurants and not far from the city centre. Bed is super comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

At the bed and breakfast, each unit comes with bed linen and towels. Excellent location! Great view from the deck towards the mountains with the llamas grazing in front. For breakfast there were cornflakes, homemade granola, milk, yoghurt and peaches. The granola was delicious! The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Added bonus were the train tracks running right next to the accommodation (if you enjoy trains, but if not don't worry, there's not a lot of trains per day so it won't get too noisy).
